Celebrate While Supporting Science
By choosing the Geological Society for your wedding, you are supporting the work of the world’s oldest geological organisation.
Founded in 1807, the Society promotes the study of Earth science and supports research, education, and public engagement around the world. Income generated through venue hire helps maintain our historic building and supports the Society’s charitable mission.
Your celebration contributes to preserving this remarkable institution for future generations

To secure your wedding date, a 50% deposit of the total hire fee will be required, with the remaining 50% due one month before your wedding day. We also recommend visiting the venue during this time to see the spaces in person. Please note that dates are only confirmed once we receive your official confirmation.

As the Society has limited space and is open to the public most days, we’re usually unable to arrange early deliveries or set-ups outside the hire period. However, we always try to accommodate special requests wherever possible.
Due to space restrictions, we’re usually unable to store items overnight, but we will always do our best to accommodate where we can.
