This venue is absolutely amazing, we came on the two open days to have a look round and we were blown away by how beautiful it was not to mention how friendly and lovely the staff were. Nothing was too much trouble and questions were answered. We have booked our 2024 wedding here and we are super excited and relaxed knowing we will be well looked after.

Lydia and her staff were fantastic all our guest commented on how wonderful the day was and how helpful people were. the rooms are done to a outstanding standard and the venue is perfect for a small wedding. food was outstanding and attention to detail was perfect, the DJ was a fab choice he played a verity of songs to suit all tastes, allergies were taken care of also , kids loved the courtyard couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

Bert's Rooms & Events is a lovely, rustic , olde-worlde venue and perfect for the relaxed wedding we wanted. We loved the fact it has so many different areas, inside and out, for guests to mingle. I emailed several venues and Lydia was the first to respond and so helpful - and that continued right up to the wedding itself. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she replied to every query I had really quickly, despite her workload. Although she was running several weddings every week throughout the summer I always felt like mine was the only wedding she was looking after – amazing! She’s completely unflappable  Just what you need when you’re starting to stress over all the arrangements! The day itself was everything we’d hoped for and went without a hitch. We’ve received great feedback from all our guests who loved the venue, the food and the great service from all the staff on the day. If you’re looking for an intimate, cosy and relaxed venue for your wedding I would highly recommend the venue – and Lydia.

Only praise for the Black Horse Inn and wedding planner Lydia whom we met with 18 months before our wedding. We knew it was the ideal venue for us; gorgeous setting with beautifully decorated boutique style bedrooms and perfect for our intimate ceremony of 30 day and 60 evening guests. Lydia was very responsive to my emails and answered all queries quickly. The hotel can cater for vegan and gluten free diets alongside the standard menu. I also went to their wedding fayre to see examples of table decorations and set ups and opted for a large rectangle so everyone could see each other. We provided our own table decorations, mocked up a setting at home, took photos and sent them to the venue so they could see how the tables were to be set on the day and they were absolutely perfect. Everything went to plan and we had the best day ever

We had our wedding at The Black Horse Inn Clifton Ltd on Saturday 20.08.22. Lydia & the team were absolutely amazing from booking the venue over 2 years ago to us leaving on the Sunday. Lydia is the absolute best, so organised, great with communication and has an amazing eye for detail. Everyone commented how organised the wedding breakfast was & how the whole day ran so smoothly & that is down to Lydia & the team of staff. Had the pleasure of attending a wedding here and stayed for two nights; the room was wonderful with an amazing bathroom and large shower. All the staff were very helpful professional and nothing was too much trouble. They changed the venue too, form wedding seating; to meal seating; to evening seating with very little effort or should I say they make it look effortless. No-one stressed at all about anything and they also catered for two Vegans without making big deal out of it. I really can't praise the place and staff enough and would like to take this opportunity to thank them very much.
