With endless views over the surrounding Cotswold countryside and an abundance of charming quirks, The Bear of Rodborough Hotel boasts a setting to remember for your big day.
We have a wonderful collection of rooms from which to host your wedding day at The Bear and 46 cosy bedrooms for your guests to stay the night. Combine all of this with great food, fizz and an enthusiastic team, and you’re sure to create the big day of your dreams.
The Terrace Room is a light and open space, with room for up to 70 guests. Its neutral colour scheme allows you to take the reins when it comes to accessorising.
As the name may suggest, the Terrace Room opens onto our garden terrace and marquee which will be reserved exclusively for your wedding party to enjoy reception drinks and canapes.
The Library Restaurant is our largest space, with room for up to 90 guests. With its striking bookend wallpaper, abundance of great reads and stylish tartan carpet; wedding accessories can be kept to a minimum.
With its sophisticated decor and beautiful arched windows, The Tower Room is a perfect space for smaller, intimate weddings. It is licensed for up to 26 people, but you can have much fewer if you prefer – we’re happy to provide witnesses.

The staff were absolutely fantastic, incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive throughout the whole process. Several of our guests specifically commented afterwards on how lovely and welcoming the staff were, which really speaks volumes about the level of service provided. We also can’t thank the team enough for how accommodating they were with our dogs, who were able to attend and be part of our full wedding day. Having them there was incredibly important to us, and the team made us feel completely comfortable and never made it feel like an inconvenience. It meant so much to have such an important part of our family. The venue itself is in a beautiful location and provides the perfect backdrop for wedding photographs. There are some gorgeous scenic spots nearby, making it ideal for heading off-site for a few photos and getting some beautiful natural shots. We would particularly recommend booking the Library Restaurant room for the ceremony, as the views are absolutely stunning and made the ceremony feel even more special. The set-up on the day was incredibly smooth, and everything came together perfectly. A special thank you to Amanda, who was so helpful with the pre-set-up and made the whole process much easier for us. Her help and support were hugely appreciated. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding. The combination of the beautiful setting, stunning scenery, exceptional service and incredibly accommodating team made it a truly memorable experience.We had the most wonderful experience with our wedding venue. From booking to meal tasting and the meetings in the run up. Amanda is calm, efficient, warm and welcoming and as a venue they allowed us to do all the things we wanted. We had both been married before and I had worked in a wedding venue previously some years ago so I feel we had a good comparison to go by. Rooms are lovely too and all our guests loved staying there! We got engaged on Rodborough Common, which meant it was perfect to go to The Bear for our wedding. All the staff were so helpful and welcoming to all the guests. Nothing was too much for them to handle, even when we had a few hiccups throughout the day. Amanda was the most perfect wedding planner who kept me calm throughout the whole day. She was easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding and always responded so quickly when I had a thousand questions. Thank you to everyone who worked the day/night of our wedding, and thank you for making it as special as it was. Even though the day was amazing, there were just a few things that some of the guests had mentioned that they were not happy with. The night porter who was on the night of the wedding was not very friendly, he was very abrupt towards guests. Also, the man who was in charge of breakfast the morning after the wedding acted like anything anyone asked him was a massive inconvenience and was not very pleasant towards guests. This was a real shame because everyone was on such a high after the wedding and his attitude made people feel uncomfortable. All in all, the day was perfect Thank you!The Bear of Rodborough was the most perfect venue for my husband and I to get married in.
