Set in 6 acres of gardens, this beautiful hotel and conference centre in a early 19th-century mansion house is less than a mile from Darwen and 2.4 miles from the M65 motorway. The main house offers elegant traditional rooms with original features, some with garden views. Rooms in the garden wing have more contemporary-style furniture, and all have tea and coffee making facilities. The house has period decor throughout, including stained glass windows, wood panelling and an ornate staircase. English cuisine with a French/Mediterranean influence is served in the bright, refined restaurant. This is a perfect location to hold your wedding breakfast and also a ceremony. Where do we even begin? From the very beginning of planning our wedding, Veronika was an absolute superstar. She guided us through every stage of the process, answered our endless questions, kept everything organised and made sure we had thought of all the little details that ultimately made such a huge difference to our day. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Veronika genuinely cared about making our wedding everything we had imagined, and having her there throughout the planning gave us so much confidence that we were in safe hands. When the big day finally arrived, Veronika and the entire Astley Bank team were absolutely incredible. Every detail, instruction and plan we had discussed was followed perfectly. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing. We could simply enjoy getting married, celebrate with the people we love and take in every moment while the team quietly made everything happen around us. They didn’t just organise our wedding day. They helped turn the day we had dreamed about for so long into a reality. ❤️ The venue looked beautiful, the food was fantastic, the service was exceptional and the entire day flowed perfectly from beginning to end. So much work clearly happens behind the scenes to make a wedding feel effortless, and we have an enormous amount of respect and gratitude for everyone who played a part in ours. Held my daughters wedding here, end of March what a good decision. from the very first look around veronica was amazing making us welcome and always making us laugh. we used the boudoir to get ready with a lovely breakfast of sausage and bacon t.cakes fresh orange, tea and coffee. veronica was about for when we needed her, what a help she was in keeping everything calm, shes an expert with button holes. Astley bank is a brilliant venue. We had our wedding there this month, the staff could not have done more to help us enjoy our special day. Veronika was excellent coordinating our wedding , keeping us on track, and sorting out our big day. The food was amazing, the bedrooms warm, comfy, and spotlessly clean. Great grounds and perfect for a wedding. I would highly recommend, if you want a wedding with beautiful views and wonderful staff, then get booked in to Astley bank, you won’t be disappointeAstley bank is a brilliant venue. I don’t even know where to begin! Me and my husband got married here in September 2022 and it was honestly just perfect. The venue is stunning, the food was amazing, the staff were so helpful and on hand whenever we needed them, the rooms were lovely, the list is endless! Veronika was our wedding coordinator here and she is amazing, she helped us to perfect our day and we couldn’t recommend Astley Bank enough! Our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have been too! We wish we could do it all over again! I would just say go and look around and you will soon fall in love with this place like we did!I don’t even know where to begin! Made great by the great people who came and the wonderful team at Astley Bank - led by Bill, Sue and Veronika. Their attention to detail was absolutely spot on and they were quick to react if anything wasn't quite perfect. All of our guests have commented on how friendly and efficient the service team were and how quick and easy it was to get served at the bar. A special mention must also go to the kitchen team who served up some of the best food we've ever tasted. All in all, nothing was too much trouble, from the flexibility demanded by the disruptive weather to the professionalism in dealing with such an array of suppliers and the helpfulness and no fuss when it came to returning lost property the morning after the night before. We can't thank them enough and would recommend anyone have a meal, book a stay or hold an event there. Sincerely and gratefully, Terri and Gary. Astley bank hosted our wedding breakfast and reception in October 2019 for 80 (+20 evening guests). The staff were absolutely brilliant and went above and beyond over the whole weekend. Nothing was ever any trouble, and all of our guests have said how amazing the venue looked, and was. The team are a huge credit to the venue, and we couldn't have asked for more. The food was 10/10, the organisation was amazing, it was clean and fresh, and nobody could have done anymore for us. It was a perfect day and we are so so grateful that we had such a great team to share it with. 100% recommend Astley Bank. Travel Notes

Directions to the Astley Bank Hotel & Conference Centre From M60, Junction 15 (East or West bound) Follow signs for Preston, M61; then Bolton, A666. Take A666. This is a dual carriageway at first (St. Peter’s Way). At the end of the dual carriageway, continue on the A666 towards Blackburn. The road goes through suburbs of Bolton then becomes countryside before dropping into Darwen. Coming into Darwen, the speed restriction reduces to 30 mph, Look out for the petrol station on left. Shortly after this is the Frank Barnes on the right. Directly opposite is Huntington Drive. Turn left into here and immediately left again (about an 180o turn). Follow this private drive to the top to Astley Bank (Mileage from the end of St Peter’s Way to Astley Bank is eight miles). From M65 Junction 4 At end of motorway slip road, follow signs for Darwen, Bolton, A666. Continue for 2 miles through Darwen town centre on the A666. A quarter of a mile after the town centre is India Mill on the left and quarter of a mile after India Mill on the right is Huntington Drive. Turn right into here and immediately left. Follow this private drive to the top to Astley Bank. NB. If using a Sat Nav, do not go up Astley Street
