Tawstock Court

Beautiful venue and lovely place to stay as a wedding guest. Just spent a fabulous weekend there for Ben and Anna's wedding. The accommodation for guests is so welcoming. The bedrooms are lovely and spacious with separate rooms to make tea and coffee and kitchens to make food and socialise. The grounds of Tawton Court are so picturesque and the building itself is gorgeous with lots of rooms suited to each part of the wedding day like a gorgeous panelled room for canapés, lovely refectory for the main reception and lovely large rooms with many sofas for socialising and tea in between the day and evening event. All staff at the venue were so friendly and the wedding went so smoothly and was utterly amazing!

We truly had the most amazing weekend and that was mostly down to the decision to book Tawstock! To have a wedding venue is one thing but to have the whole place plus all the accommodation and grounds to yourselves for the whole weekend is so rare (unless you want to pay a fortune which we didn’t!). We arrived on the Friday along with lots of our guests and were able to have a lovely evening all together in the shared spaces having a chilled pizza and beer night before the big day. The rooms are all reasonably priced a d so we’ll finished. Huge choice of rooms and I loved the shared kitchen and lounge spaces. Made everyone interact and get along so well. The bridal suite is insane, so beautiful and has a whole space for hair and makeup which is awesome! We then got married at the church which is so handy because you can walk there and back! (So saved on expensive transport for us and guests!) You can also get married at Tawstock itself which would be stunning. If you do get married at the church - have the bells because you can hear them from Tawstock Court and makes it even more of a special venue. We had welcome drinks outside looking over the amazing view and then the wedding breakfast and evening inside; the best bit was there was so many different rooms for different parts of the day. Our guests LOVED the Clutterbuck gin and cocktail bar which is so beautiful. We had a room for welcome drinks, one for a casino (which Laura can supply!), there is a lounge where our older guests could escape in the evening and of course rooms for dancing and the main bar. That’s not mentioning the lush courtyard which is so beautiful in the evening with the lights on. Another thing to mention is the kitchen! It is huge and our caterer loved it! When looking at venues I hated when you were expected to use a certain caterer or in house chef and had to end up with things you had to have rather than really wanted, because at Tawstock you can bring in outside caterers it meant we got the exact food we wanted. Laura supplied breakfast to the guests staying over on the Saturday and Sunday as well. I had no worries to whole day, Laura and her team had things running so smoothly and was so lovely to deal with the whole way through planning. We visited Tawstock many times to plan and scope out for decor and ideas and I never felt like anything was too much for Laura. Honestly anything I wanted Laura accommodated as best as they could. I truly have no negative comments about this venue. I’m so so glad we picked there, I’m almost sad it’s done now because I just know Laura and her team will be adding more amazing things to Tawstock and it will get even better! Thank you for the most wonderful day! If you are under any question about whether to pick there then just visit and look out over the views or stand in the panelled hall, BEAUTIFUL!

The most wonderful day of our lives in this perfect venue! Attention to detail was extraordinary. Laura and her team could not have done a better job and we shall be eternally grateful.

Stunning location, with the added bonus of the church being at the bottom on the lane Calm, stress free and perfect Attention to detail in every aspect, from the accommodation to naming drinks at the bar So many compliments on the venue, the location, the stunning views and the amazing atmosphere The variations in places to go made the whole day flow and maintain the entertainment Front of house with garden games, the clutterbuck bar-newly opened to start the flow of the day guests, the back courtyard was perfect for the night atmosphere, games room, dance floor and the list goes on! The staff were lovely and all really complimented the venue The accommodation was beautiful!Welcoming, comfortable and relaxing I would do it all again in a heartbeat

Laura was the best host for my wedding and had the most beautiful venue! I couldn’t have asked for a better day thanks to her.

We both have no words about how amazing our day was. We couldn't have imagined a better day than we had. Everyone said how perfect the venue was and the Tawstock team were just brilliant.
