£17K based on 60 guests with exclusive use of the hotel and gardens on a summer Saturday with overnight accommodation (16 bedrooms), ceremony room set up, welcome drink, canapes, multi-course bespoke wedding breakfast, wine, toast, tea/coffee, evening buffet, linens, furniture and your wedding planner. We can cater for 90 day guests and to up to 120 evening guests at additional price per head.

The venue has 4 rooms licensed for Civil Ceremonies and Partnerships and can accommodate 2 -90 guests in the main house, or up to 150 guests in a marquee on the lawn. Outside wedding ceremonies are also available, weather permitting, offering gorgeous views over the Tamar Valley.

A brilliant day
The team at the Horn of Plenty were fantastic with us all the way through our wedding, from our first meeting when we were stil deciding on venues all the way through to the day itself. From our first meeting with Mia it was clear that the team at this venue were by far the most "on it" of all the venues we looked at and they struck the right balance of keeping us up to date and making sure everything was delivered on time without us feeling like we were being hounded. They did a fantastic job of managing all our suppliers on the day and did an excellent job setting everything up in line with our vision. We also had fantastic food on the day and the excellent opportunity to test our wedding menu in advance. The staff were also the right balance of professional and fun, helping us make sure the day ran smoothly and everything was on time, while also being relaxed and cutting loose on the dance floor at the very end of the night! Finally the location and the venue itself are both just stunning, with amazing views over the Tamar valley and fantastic country house from which to enjoy them from, including luxurious rooms at a good range of prices. We couldn't be happier with how everything came together on our day.

Marvellous micro wedding
I got married here in July 2023 in this beautiful venue. Amazing service, delicious food, luxurious rooms. Great communication with Shirna and the rest of the wedding team, who helped make our day feel extra special. Even though we only held a micro ceremony with 8 of us in total, the staff were incredibly attentive. We will be returning again and would highly recommend!!

The most magical day!
We just wanted to say thank you so much for everything you did to make our day so special. From shouldering my wedding nerves and stress, to impeccable spreadsheet organisation, to donning wellies and wet weather gear to humour our bizarre outdoorsy needs, you guys were truly something special to behold. Everyone commented on how lovely, polite and efficient your team were. The food was on point, Michelin standard in our view, the organisation faultless, the surroundings just gorgeous, even more so in the rain! We had the most magical day, thank you to everyone who played their part to make our day so beautiful, from kitchen, to reception, to housekeeping to co- ordination. We are truly grateful. So many of guests want to return for their own romantic weekend away. We certainly will each year for our anniversary and all other special occasions, its become a favourite place of our family.

Avoid!
Unfortunately the owners are only interested in taking your money. They are not interested in the people, have no compassion or understanding and have caused more stress and upset without any care. They hounded us with text messages and emails when the registry office was slow to change a date even though we kept them informed. We ended up cancelling our wedding there due to parents being critically ill and being unable to travel the distance (we have also had to postpone as they are still unwell and we are proving care) We gave over 12 months notice and asked if we could transfer the £1k deposit to a stay at the hotel instead but they took months to even acknowledge our email and kept the deposit even though they had already filled the date. The location is beautiful but the poor customer service makes the place ugly.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our service as we always endeavour to work with our couples on their wedding planning journey. From your intimating a wish to possibly change your wedding it took over 4 months until we finally received confirmation of a new date. We tried to give you time but as a business we are unable to hold 3 dates indefinitely, hence our contact by various methods. Our T&Cs do state your deposit is non-refundable & many venues would not consider moving dates.

The most magical day ever!
The Horn of plenty is the most beautiful, magical wedding venue! Everyone there was so welcoming and made our day perfect. Shirna and her team went above and beyond for us, and we couldn’t have asked for more! We will always have a special place in our hearts from the Horn of Plenty!

Bad weather didn't spoil our day
The wedding was absolutely fabulous. The staff worked tirelessly and helped everything go smoothly. Everyone commented on what a lovely venue it was and how delicious the food was. Despite the weather on the day, we think it helped bring everyone together inside which added to the joyous atmosphere.
