The historic stage at Smallhythe Place has known theatre greats such as Sir John Gielgud, Sybil Thorndike, and more recently Dame Eileen Atkins. Now you can have the starring role by getting married in our 17th century Barn Theatre nestled in the Kent countryside. Ceremonies can be held on closed days in season, so you'll enjoy exclusive use of this characterful theatre and garden for your special day.
As it's a theatre, the space can be dressed to impress. We want to make your day unforgettable, so if you have a particular idea in mind then we'll be happy to discuss it with you. Unfortunately we are unable to cater for a reception, but we welcome celebratory drinks and canapes in the garden after the ceremony. Please note that currently we are only able to offer hire on our closed days which are Mondays and Tuesday (excluding bank holidays) from April - September.
