Skipton Castle

We recently had our wedding at Skipton Castle in the Granary room and it was everything we could have wished for. I booked the Castle as a wedding venue as a surprise for my Fiancé in September 2016, I dealt with Penny & Chris and both ladies were extremely friendly and bought into my ideas straight away and were an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the whole planning process nothing was ever too much bother for them. On the day the rooms looked absolutely stunning and the entire staff were incredible making everyone feel very welcome and Chris again making sure everything ran like clockwork. I have nothing but praise for everyone involved at the Castle and it has given us incredible memories that will last us a lifetime. All the guests commented on what a magical setting the castle is for a wedding. If you're thinking of getting married in a Castle I would highly recommend Skipton to anyone. This is a real jewel. We had attended a wedding nearby and decided to wander round the castle the next day. The guide which you are handed (free) at entrance corresponds with room descriptions displayed around the castle, to ensure you follow the best route. In addition, there was a re-enactment of armour and knight tournaments (followed by knight school for the children. I really can recommend it.
