Dream wedding by the sea

We would highly recommend scarborough spa as perfect wedding venue . We got married in outdoor suncourt with specutular views of scarborough south bay as background. Our guest loved this space as well the indoor room we had for reception, meal and evening with DJ. The venue is dog friendly which was perfect as we wanted our dog to be part of our special day. Unlike other venues he was allowed in all spaces (indoor & outdoor) Our wedding co ordinator Naomi was brilliant from the first meeting and helping our day run smoothly. The meal was very tasty and staff very helpful. Which had such special day. Highly recommend

The wedding!

Perfect venue for the perfect day! Everything about the day was even better than we could have imagined. The venue looked stunning, inside and out. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff who all ensured we had the best day imaginable. The food was amazing, exactly as we had tried on our taster session, the standard was exceptional. Naomi, the wedding coordinator, saw to our every need without hesitation and made the whole day flow seamlessly. The best thing we can say is that if we could change anything about the day at all, we wouldn’t change a single thing. It was perfect.

Amazing, couldn’t ask for better.

Scarborough spa and the team were absolutely amazing. They made our wedding day magical we couldn’t have asked for more. Naomi especially took great care of every aspect of the day we were made to feel at ease that everything would go smoothly. Nothing was any trouble everyone was always friendly the views are fabulous and the venue looked great. The food was delicious with generous portions we had a lot of our guests commenting that it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding. Price wise it is very reasonable. We would definitely recommend scarborough spa.

A perfect quirky unique venue

We renewed our vows at the same place we were married. I can honestly say it was a day to remember, the staff were amazing considering the stop star rain and did everything in their power to make the ceremony happen outside as we did 20 years ago. Such a beautiful venue.

Amazing Venue!

Scarborough Spa was an amazing venue - it's such an unusual and stunning location. They Made it the Perfect Day

We booked The Suncourt at The Spa for our wedding. Best decision ever, Naomi our wedding planner pulled together our dream day and night. The staff including servers, bar staff, DJ were efficient, courteous and helpful beyond their usual roles. The food was of a very high quality and cooked beautifully. If you're pondering your wedding venue, you can book The Spa with no worries at all. They made it the perfect day. Cannot compliment them enough.

It's impossible to pick one. Each wedding is so different, I love when people want to make use of our many different photo opportunities, we are so lucky to have incredible views and architecture, no two weddings ever look the same.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Remember that it's your day! It sounds really obvious, but so many couples worry about family and guests when the day should be about them.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We recently had a couple that used our Sun Court to house retro fun fair stalls including a tin can alley and test your strength machine. The guests loved it!

Where’s the best photo spot at Scarborough Spa?

We are so lucky to have some fantastic photo opportunities here at Scarborough Spa. From our gorgeous Sun Court with its famous chequered floor to the balcony overlooking the North Sea. Not to mention the beautiful architecture of the building, colourful beach chalets or a romantic stroll on the golden sand.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Scarborough Spa?

We are yet to have a celebrity guest at one of out Weddings, but as a venue we have had many Celebrities performing in our Theatre and Grand Hall. We have also been featured on lots of TV programmes and even had Ted Baker use our Sun Court for a fashion shoot!

What’s your favourite canapé?

Mini Yorkshire Pudding with a Sirloin Strip and Horseradish

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

I have a sweet tooth - so I love a Candy Cart!

What is Scarborough Spa most unique feature?

A venue as old as ours has so many unique features, but my favourite is the view from our Sun Court windows overlooking the Sea and entire South Bay up to Scarborough Castle. It's even prettier in the evening when the sea front is all lit up.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our in house catering is amazing, and our team of Chef's work extremely hard over the whole venue. We are incredibly friendly and it is our main focus to have a very personal feel with all our couples so they feel comfortable trusting us with the biggest day of their lives!
