Emmie was wonderfully helpful all the way through the process and was really quick to respond to emails and helped walk us through the timelines of the day and advise us on when things would be able to happen best. The staff on the day were also wonderful and I just cannot fault the helpful and friendly service we were provided. We overran slightly and I was concerned that would effect the service, but they were so good and got all the food out in excellent time, which was also some of the best food I have ever eaten. The room they have is removed from the rest of the hotel with exclusive access for the reception. It's an absolutely beautiful room set across three tiers, which is great for keeping the dancefloor music from being too loud in other parts of the room, and the size meant that we could keep the tables and seating without needing a flip to make space for the dancefloor itself. We didn't get married on site, but there is a lovely outside area to do so with a beautiful view of Rutland Water. The hotel rooms were luxurious and comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was wonderfully scrumptious. Are there corkage fees, cake-cutting fees, or supplier fees for using ones not on your list?
We do not charge to cut your cake!
We do not charge you if you book alternative suppliers - this is YOUR wedding day, and we want you to have the day you want. If the suppliers you love have something that our listed suppliers don't, that is absolutely fine!
Corkage - Fees can vary depending on the amount being brought in, your provider and what type of beverages you are having - once we know this, we will give you an accurate price. We currently are working on £20 per bottle of wine for example.
Is VAT included?
Yes, we apply VAT to all of our pricing, and it will be shown in any quotes you receive.
What is the deposit to a book a wedding at Rutland Hall?
We can hold a date for 7-days, no charge, whilst you contact Rutland Council Registrar Office for Ceremony dates and times or your House of Worship, etc.
To proceed with your date, your deposit is £1,500, which is non-refundable or transferrable
Your deposit is used against your final balance for your wedding of the quote we use as the starting point for your wedding planning.
Once your deposit has been paid we will send your Booking Contract, based on your quote, and send a receipt of payment to confirm your booking.
Venue Capacities?
The Lakeview Suite: 60 minimum to 220 maximum
The Pavilion : 450 max
The Pavilion Lounge: 60 minimum to 100 maximum
Hotel Rooms: 66 - ranging from a Cosy which sleeps 2, to our glorious Windsor Suite, which can sleep 6 to 8, with a Hot Tub in their Private Garden
Lodges: 31
Apartments: 18
What is the contingency plan if we book an outdoor ceremony and the weather turns?
Within your Hire, we always include our indoor ceremony space which will be set for your guests as precaution. Ultimately, the Registrars, for a legal ceremony, have the final say of whether they permit your ceremony outdoors.
The venues themself are self-contained, so each part of your day can be hosted indoors, no problem.
Are pets allowed?
Of course your fur-babies are welcome!
We have options for your dog/s to be a part of your special day, a selection of dog friendly hotel rooms available and a list of Chaperones you may consider booking to look after them during the day and night.

Are there noise restrictions or curfews?
Your Venue bars are licensed until midnight.
A Resident's Bar in our Blossoms Restaurant can be requested to stay open until 2am.
Our Sound Limiters are set at 96dB - you are welcome to have any entertainment; from live bands, to DJs, to acoustic.
Outside Music is permitted until 6pm.
