Rumbolds Farm

As soon as we stepped on site at Rumbolds we knew that it was the place we wanted to get married. The 15th Century barn is absolutely stunning in itself, but so too are the gardens and patio area. We had so many compliments from our guests about what a perfect spot Rumbolds is! We knew we wanted a barn wedding with plenty of outdoor space for guests to mingle and play lawn games - and Rumbolds was perfect for this. We also knew we wanted to have a hand in the set up and decoration, as well as choosing our own caterers and supplying our own drinks. The flexibility at Rumbolds meant we were really able to make the day our own! The run up to the day was stress free - having access the venue from Wednesday to Sunday meant we could set up at our own pace, and our wedding party could arrive as it suited them. Chris, the onsite venue manager - was able to liaise with vendors to keep the morning stress free for us both. Susie & Andrew were absolutely wonderful hosts too - the rooms we stayed in were beautiful, the breakfasts were delicious (Susie's scrambled eggs are absolutely wonderful!!) and Andrew, as our celebrant, ensured the perfect ceremony. We had the most perfect day and couldn't have asked for anything better. Would 100% recommend Rumbolds to anyone considering it.

We fell in love with Rumbolds Farm as soon as we saw it and knew it was the perfect venue for us and the style of wedding we wanted! The Robertson family were all brilliant from the get-go, so helpful and accommodating! It ticked so many boxes - not only a stunning venue, but the fact it was a blank canvas for us to decorate and make it our own. Having the venue from Wednesday - Sunday made such a difference and we could spend time getting it ready rather than feeling like we were on a conveyor belt with the wedding before and after us. The on-site accommodation is fantastic, and camping in the fabulous belle tents meant more of our guests could stay - proper glamping! We absolutely loved our wedding day and didn’t want it to end. We had so many comments from friends and family saying what a fab venue it was. We really can’t recommend it enough!

Bride and Groom Becky and Benny live in Canada so were wanting their wedding to be a celebration and opportunity to spend time with family and friends. We therefore needed a venue which we could stay for a few days with both camping and farmhouse accommodation, space to have a large party and an outdoor area to hold the ceremony. Rumbolds exceeded our expectation to find a venue which ticked all the boxes. We were able to start the wedding festival on Thursday and had until Sunday afternoon to clear afterwards. Having two Barns was amazing as we ate in the stunning rustic Barn and had the larger Barn for bars and bands. The garden is the most beautiful setting for a ceremony and the owners, the Robertson family were so friendly and were always available to help and answer questions. The Belle tents were stunning and everyone who stayed in them said they were really comfortable. Our Photographer’s final comment before he left was he has attended over 400 weddings and our wedding at Rumbolds was definitely in the top 1%. We cannot thank the Robertson family and Rumbolds for giving us all one of the best weekends of our lives.

Rumbolds was the first and only wedding venue we visited eighteen months ago, and we knew straight away that we wanted it to be our venue. The special combination of beautiful setting, flexible spaces, accommodation options, and blank-canvas planning meant that we could fully create our vision for our special day, and we genuinely don't think we would have been able to do that at any other venue. The extra touches to the venue that had been created since we first looked around (the beautiful outdoor bar, the fire pit, the big barn renovation, the new patio, the new umbrella, lighting for the camping path) have all been wonderful additions that we enjoyed spotting on every visit back again. We have received so many comments from guests on how warm, inviting, and beautiful the venue was on the day, and we are very grateful for the opportunity to have our wedding at Rumbolds.

We had our ceremony in the glorious 15th C oak barn, it was a stunning place to share our vows! We had a pizza van (Flanco Pizza) provide the food, whilst music by Easy Does It 70s played in the bigger barn. The patio was a wonderful space for guests to chill and mingle, whilst the kids played Lawn Games on the grassy area. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. Thanks Rumbolds!

A beautiful family run venue where we were really well looked after by Chris, Susie and Andrew. Having access to the venue from Monday - Sunday as well as having accommodation on site made the final week stress free as we had plenty of time and support to setup. We were lucky with the weather but having the 2 barns available meant we could be flexible if the forecast had changed. We would 100% recommend Rumbolds as it helped make our day so special.
