What a find!
With our first enquiry made in 2018 followed but countless covid delays, on our fourth attempt we finally managed to have the wedding of our dreams at Rumbolds Farm. Sue, Andrew and Chris supported us all the way through, being so flexible, accommodating and understanding with each date move. In this time they opened up the second barn which made the flow of the day much easier. We had our photos, canapés and welcome drinks in the beautiful grounds (and by the newly constructed outdoor bar), followed by the wedding breakfast in the larger barn and dancing in the gorgeous original barn. We fell in love with the venue instantly. Beautifully maintained and so flexible with what we could do. With a list of recommended suppliers but the ability to bring in our own worked perfectly for us. Chris was on hand from the Wednesday before, when we got access to the barn, and was there when we needed help setting up. Not intrusive but on hand whenever we needed. I really can’t thank them enough and would highly recommend it to any bride and groom.

Absolutely beautiful
The Rumbolds is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue & we knew as soon as we saw the venue that it was where we wanted to celebrate our wedding day. To have the venue from the Wednesday afternoon to decorate and organise was such a selling point for us, we could set up and enjoy the build up to the big day. The grounds are very well looked after with beautiful bedding plants, a picturesque pond & naturally rustic barns. Chris was very helpful leading up to our wedding day, any questions were answered and he organised the suppliers so they knew where to come on the day. We loved the fact the venue is not commercialised, none of our guests had been before & many commented how stunning the grounds were. We were very grateful for how accommodating Susie was with changing our date (twice) due to covid and lockdowns. Thank you Chris, Susie and team xx

Absolutely fantastic!
We had our wedding celebration at this venue and I couldn't recommend it enough. I specifically searched for a 'family' orientated venue because I didn't want your stereotypical conveyor belt type wedding venue, where you can't be in until 1pm and have to leave by 10am the next day. If that's what you're looking for then this is the place for you. The family live on site and are so accommodating with any request. There are some rooms for immediate guests to stay but there's also free camping (which is again why we booked) and guests brought their own tents, or you can hire glamping tents from the venue. The grounds are absolutely stunning and there's so many spots for photos but also plenty of space for guests - both indoors and outdoors. We could hire any supplier so you weren't tied into specific companies and this gives you plenty of flexibility to budget for what's important. We booked 2 years ago and they have made so many changes and invested in the venue since we booked, which all made such a difference. Ok you don't have a 'wedding organiser' on the day but we had time in the week before the day to decorate and sort things out and didn't have to leave until 4/5pm on the Sunday. If you need some help though, one of the family, Chris, offers a specific service on the day of your event to oversee things and that really was perfect to let you relax and enjoy the day. Even though the venue is a gorgeous barn with gardens, it can cater for a formal event with silver service or like us, you can have a very relaxed day with a served buffet and casual bar with a band in the evening. I want to say thank you so much to the family for being absolutely fantastic in the build up to the wedding and for letting us create our own day from their gorgeous venue.

Wonderful wedding
We hired Rumbolds Farm for our wedding in June 2022. It's such a beautiful venue and we had a wonderful day. It was great to have the time to set up the venue in advance of the day and Chris was on hand to help with any queries we had. We held the ceremony outside on the beautiful lawn, followed by drinks on the patio, served from the outside bar. The smaller barn looked gorgeous for our wedding dinner and we used the larger barn for our cake cutting, dancing and evening food. It was great to have so much space. All our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. We had an unusual request of wanting to play a game of frisbee after the wedding and Chris kindly mowed us a section of lawn in one of the fields for this to take place on. We thoroughly recommend Rumbolds as a wedding venue. It's a stunning venue and the Robertson family were so helpful in the run up to our big day. We enjoyed being able to stay onsite and use the B&B, along with 12 members of our family, before and after our wedding. The breakfasts were great too.

Beautiful Venue
Exclusive use and pretty much free reign during set up to create our perfect day. The venue is stunning with plenty of space, parking etc. All our guests commented on how beautiful it was. We opted to have our ceremony outside by the lake, our food inside the beamed barn and then a huge party in the second and much larger barn. Loads of outdoor seating, a stunning outdoor bar (perfect for welcome drinks) and all very accessible for those not too steady on their feet… The accommodation is great, Susie is really on the ball with breakfast! The cottage was fantastic and again plenty of room for myself, bridesmaids, MUA and photographer. A really relaxed vibe which created a great atmosphere on the day.

A perfect day
This venue is so beautiful and we had our perfect wedding day at Rumbolds! You have a ‘blank canvas’ to work with which was ideal for us. We had ~70 people and the lawn facing the lake was a perfect place for the ceremony, and we made the most of the barn, plentiful outdoor seating and outdoor bar to create the laid back atmosphere (sunny day also made that possible!) that we had hoped for. We even got to do the speeches outside! Chris’ support was greatly appreciated leading up to the wedding and we opted to have the wedding day package he offered too which helped everything run really smoothly. Susie did a fantastic job with the breakfasts and Andrew made the lawn look perfect! The on-site accommodation took some time pressure off getting ready on the wedding day too - a 30 second walk from the bridal suite to the lawn. No doubt you will have a great wedding day at Rumbolds if you choose this venue. Thanks again to the team!
