Full Description
Where do we start? Rowton Hall Hotel and Spa is a beautiful manor house on the outskirts of Chester. Surrounded by gorgeous gardens, woodland walkway and a Victorian walled garden. The Hall itself has maintained so many of it's original features but has been complimented beautifully by a more contemporary colour scheme. Our ballroom can accommodate larger ceremonies and has neutral creamy tones so can easily accommodate any wedding colour scheme or theme. With twinkling chandeliers there is a feeling of intimate grandeur. The conservatory is the perfect place for drinks and canapes but also a more relaxed feel for evening guests and adjoins the Ballroom. The original inglenook fireplace has given us the perfect name for our Inglenook Suite, the most popular choice for ceremonies for up to 60 guests and for evening refreshments. this room is perfect when lit with candles and has a lovely 1920's feel. The Adams Lounge is the best choice for intimate weddings, with another ornate fireplace, the original Morning Room of the Hall has great light and views towards the gardens.
We have 39 individually designed bedrooms including two contemporary apartments. Our Bridal Suite is included in our packages and is conveniently located near the Ballroom, spacious enough for preparation for the wedding but romantic enough for the happy couple to begin their married life together.

Every member of the team treated us with amazing kindness and humour
We came for a family wedding this week, which was so beautifully and professionally organised, and thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Rowton Hall Hotel. Every member of the team treated us with amazing kindness and humour, and we felt so welcome (not just the professional pleasantness one 'expects' in this sort of situation, but a genuine "glad to see you" helpfulness.) We look forward to going back. Oh! And the food is fabulous. Thank you all.

What a venue! Stunning!
We had the best day ever!!
What a venue, our wedding at rowton hall was just perfect. The service went above and beyond. The two Keiran’s really stood out in particular. Any questions we had they were there ready to give us answers or sort something out. Nothing was too much to ask. The wedding breakfast meal was superb, we’ve had so many lovely comments. The venue itself is just beautiful inside and out, the gardens are stunning. We picked the venue particularly for its beauty. With not being able to predict British weather it was important we found a venue we’d be equally happy having our wedding ceremony inside if it rained. We were so lucky with the weather so we did in fact we did get our outdoor ceremony. We booked exclusive use as we had a big wedding so easily filled the rooms. Everyone commented how beautiful the rooms were and such a lovely breakfast the next day. We look forward to returning next year on our anniversary and will no doubt return in the meantime for a drink and walk around the beautiful grounds. We thank you so much Rowton hall for making our day so perfect 💕

A Beautiful Day
My wife and I got married here in May 2022 and I have nothing but praise and gratitude for them. Our wedding coordinator helped us plan out the event and gave advice throughout the process to make sure everything was in place, and on the day itself the staff were extremely helpful, attentive and professional, so that we were left with nothing to worry about in terms of things going smoothly.
The gardens and grounds are beautiful and made for a picturesque and relaxing backdrop to the event, and contain lots of great spots for photos. The decorations and spaces within the hotel were also top notch, with various different areas for people to explore and peel off into.
The food was also excellent and easily catered for various dietary requirements for our guests, and we had a pizza van in the evening also organised by the hotel. The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious and all of our guests who stayed had an excellent experience.
We would thoroughly recommend Rowton Hall to anyone looking to host a wedding or event, or just as a great place to have a romantic getaway in a lovely setting.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
It might be cliche to say this but every wedding is a beautiful wedding. The weddings with just the Bride and Groom as so intimate and special, but larger weddings are full of fun and laughter, we do believe it is a privilege to be part of your day.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My number 1 tip for couples would be to never be afraid to talk to your Wedding Coordinator. I always prefer my couples to talk to me and tell me about the things that are important to them, it may not be part of their package but it doesn't mean they can't have what they want.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
This is a difficult one, but I guess for me it would be the Christmas Crackers hand made with individual gifts tailored to the guests, they were stunning.....but then again the 2 person wedding where the Groom placed gifts for his Bride around the hotel for her to follow like a treasure hunt was just beautiful.....and then there was the Mother of the Bride who composed a comedy poem about the couple but mentioned every guest at the wedding in some way, something about how they knew the couple or about their personality. everybody was in stitches!!!

Again so many to choose from.....any with guests laughing and having a great time, or a couple in love.

A couple....shhhhh
What’s your favourite canapé?
OMG! pulled pork fritters with apple sauce are amazing......spring rolls with hoi sin sauce are yummy too...and then there are the strawberries dipped in chocolate. It would probably easier to say which I don't like, but I love them all!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
A simple bacon roll any day...just perfect for the end of the night.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We have a stunning Victorian walled garden, woodland walkway and kitchen garden. But for me it is the stunning original carved wood panelling mixed with contemporary interior decorating. the best of both worlds!
