Minstrel Court is a lovingly restored Tudor manor on the borders of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex and Cambridgeshire, set in six acres of landscaped grounds with a private lake and stunning countryside views. Whether you dream of a lakeside marquee, a grand beamed barn celebration or an intimate ceremony, our venue blends historic character with contemporary comfort.

We offer a licensed, enclosed ceremony pavilion looking out across the lake so you can exchange vows in beautiful surroundings whatever the weather. For receptions and dancing choose our listed three-storey Tudor Barn (seating for up to 110) or a marquee overlooking the water, plus our Starlit Hall for live music and entertainment. Minstrel Court offers a beautiful outdoor ceremony space, the Lake Pavilion set against the stunning backdrop of our tranquil lake and landscaped grounds. We also have six versatile indoor spaces, including the Marquee, Tudor Barn, Starlit Hall, Bar, and Bridal Salon, allowing us to host weddings of various sizes and styles, all year round. Because of all our different spaces, we can offer great flexibility and a variety of packages to suit any couple's needs. Our venue hire rates vary depending on the month and day of the week, leading to a wide range of pricing throughout the year. Couple and guest accommodation is available at an additional cost. We can accommodate weddings from a minimum of 50 guests through to a maximum of 300 for a standing reception. With our range of indoor and outdoor spaces, we can tailor the day to suit your vision — whether you’re planning a relaxed, close-knit occasion or a lively, full-scale celebration.

The wedding of our entire dreams!The wedding of our entire dreams!
Minstrel Court provided the perfect backdrop for the biggest event of our lives. From the lake, to the stunning grounds, the starlit barn and grand marquee, every element was amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough to make sure our event ran smoothly. The marquee seated 210 of our friends and family for dinner and then the room was turned around to accommodate a further 60 guests attending our traditional Nigerian celebration. We golden hour arrived, the grounds were lit up by the gorgeous fairy lights that added even more magic to our wedding. To top it off we had the entire venue and accommodation to celebrate the next day, the rooms were comfortable, clean and well presented. Minstrel Court is honestly one of the most beautiful hidden gems in Cambridge and the memories of our wedding will last forever. Wishing I could get married again just to have Minstrel Court as our venue again!Minstrel Court provided the perfect backdrop for the biggest event of our lives. I attended my step-sister's wedding at Minstrel Court and it was a lovely day. The venue is beautiful and the bride and groom could not stop smiling. What stood out most was the team. After I lost my accommodation key in the dark, a member of staff spent over half an hour helping us search with torches, extension leads and a floodlight until it was found. We were incredibly grateful. A real credit to the team.I attended my step-sister's wedding at Minstrel Court and it was a lovely day. Our amazing wedding! At the beginning the team had some issues with staff leaving, so we ended up dealing with 4/5 different people from booking to our wedding day. However, the final team, especially Wendy and Lola, were absolutely incredible. Our wedding day was beyond perfect. Wendy’s organisation on the day was spot on. We cannot thank her and Lola enough for their support in the lead up and on our wedding day. The venue is a dream! I would recommend this venue and the team 100 times over.Our amazing wedding! The scenery is absolutely beautiful, especially the pavilion on the lake, with trees that made it perfect for an outdoor summer wedding.
