Nestled in the hills of Morningside, Merchants of Edinburgh Golf Club has been a gathering place since 1907. Today our light-filled, south-facing clubhouse and patio offer couples a calm, scenic setting for their wedding, with panoramic views over the Pentland Hills and across Edinburgh, from the Castle to the Firth of Forth, yet just 10 minutes from the city centre.

We specialise in smaller, personal weddings where the focus is on quality service and a genuinely personal experience for you and your guests. From your first visit, our experienced events team works with you so that every detail reflects your vision for the day, leaving you free to enjoy it with the people who matter most.
Food and drink
Catering is at the heart of what we do. Our kitchen is led by chefs from some of Scotland's finest kitchens, and we will design a bespoke menu with you that celebrates the best seasonal Scottish produce, from Atlantic seafood to prime Scotch beef. Whether you would like a three-course wedding breakfast, a relaxed buffet or canapes on the patio, our team provides a professional, attentive service from start to finish. Drinks are served from our own Pentland Bar.
