Macdonald Crutherland House

Our daughter booked her wedding with the Macdonald Crutherland at very short notice as her venue cancelled on her. From the moment she met the hotels co-ordinator through to the big day she was so happy and wished she had booked with them originally. Nothing was a problem on the day and the staff were so friendly. If you are thinking about booking your big day here, you definetly should do it.

From our first meeting with Rebecca we were delighted we had picked the MacDonald Crutherland for our Wedding. Rebecca was amazing and always available to help with any questions we had on the lead up to our wedding and to put us at ease with any problems we had. On the day every member of staff were amazing in helping the wedding run absolute perfect. Emily and Barry were fantastic throughout the whole day and always on hand to help with anything needed. The hotel was an incredible venue for our wedding and we had the perfect day. All our guest are still telling us what an incredible day they had. Rebecca, Emily and Barry were a credit to the hotel chain and we can’t thank them enough for all their help in giving us the day we dreamed of.

Absolutely loved our day, ran by Barry who was superb nothing was too much and everything ran perfectly and on time. The whole team are a credit to this place and we cannot thank them enough. Truly the best package of all those that we looked at, and we certainly made the right choice

This was the most perfect day! The staff couldn't have been more helpful and we are so glad we choose this venue. The beautiful grounds were perfect for our photographs and ourselves and our guests loved the food.

Macdonald Crutherland House Hotel ticked every box. We were married in October so there was a natural Autumnal theme, however the Crutherland is magical whatever the season. The long drive through the woodland from the main road, gives a sense of excitement and the ancient trees are vibrant with autumnal colours. The environment was perfect for our photographer and videographer. The house itself is charming and full of character, set within several acres of countryside, the sky bursting from a building free horizon and, of course, the sun shining through the trees, builds your appreciation for the peace and fresh air. The tastefully modernised rear quarters include a Spa with swimming pool, gym and sauna. My family and friends came from Guernsey, London and Ipswich, so these extra amenities were gratefully received. This brings me onto the staff. I simply could not have asked for more from them, and in fact gave me the confidence to invite family and friends from such a distance. Wedding co-ordinators, Jordan and Brittany removed all pressure of planning a wedding, and finalised all the details no matter how small.
