Describe the best wedding that happened at Folkerton Mill?
This is a difficult one because all our weddings are so unique and fabulous it is very difficult to choose. Scott and I got married at Folkerton Mill and that was one of the best days of my life! It is also how this whole journey began so it was the best thing we have ever done for many reasons!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't sweat the small stuff!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We have had some incredible cake toppers and I love them all! We have had everything from personalised lego figures to highland cows and mini hay bales!

fun, friendly, relaxed, unique, totally about you!
Where’s the best photo spot at Folkerton Mill?
We honestly have so many, but my favourite part of the whole venue has got to be the fire pits. This is because you get a great view of the whole venue from there, you can see the garden, the courtyard with all the festoon lights and the mill building and you are sat outside the barn so you can soak up the music and the atmosphere.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Folkerton Mill?
We are sworn to secrecy but we can tell you about a location scout come and have a look around for the possibility of filming Outlander! This may or may not be related to the wedding!
What’s your favourite canapé?
I can't choose, I love them all but I am a veggie so no meat for me!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Rice Crispies!
What is Folkerton Mill most unique feature?
I honestly don't think there is another venue like us out there. This Mill was decommissioned in the late 1970s meaning that so many of the original features remain meaning there is something really special about the place and its history. We also specialise is making your wedding bespoke, from the bar stock to the timings for the day! So far we haven't had a request we could not accommodate.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Scott and I have put our heart and souls into Folkerton Mill. We have built this business with genuine passion and a love for all things wedding. We genuinely feel so privileged to be part of every wedding that we host, knowing that we are helping to create some of the most important and special memories for each and every couple.
