Inside, Lauderdale House blends original beams, sash windows and Georgian columns with contemporary comfort. The House also remains an active arts venue, with exhibitions by local artists often displayed in the galleries, adding an extra sense of character and creativity.

Couples are welcome to style the space to suit their day. Flowers, bunting and free-standing decorations are all welcome, and a range of equipment is available on site including:

  • Trestle tables
  • Bistro tables
  • Chairs
  • Fairy lights in the Long Gallery
  • Projector and screen
  • Easels for signage or photo boards
  • Microphone and speaker for speeches

Additional furniture, lighting and styling can also be hired in.

Our experienced events team will support you from your first enquiry through to the day itself, with at least two stewards on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Lauderdale House partners with Pink Food, our in-house caterer, to deliver a delicious and memorable wedding breakfast and evening reception. Together, our teams will help tailor every detail to your celebration.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

Waterlow Park is full of wonderful photo spots, including the amazing eagle steps, a gorgeous brick alcove, and our lovely side terrace which is the perfect place for a confetti moment.

Yes we have!

What’s your favourite canapé?

Anything with cheese, but our Mushroom, mozzarella and parmesan arancini with truffle mayo is delicious!

We absolutely love a dark chocolate pot with salted caramel mousse. It's best served around 10pm to keep up the energy levels on the dance floor.

Our building is filled with unique features! From our original 16th century beams to the bas relief in the Entrance Hall, from the cupola on the first floor to the ornate ceiling panel in the Long Gallery, Lauderdale House hosts a unique combination of both Tudor and Victorian styles and offers a sumptuous blend of historic details and modern comforts.
