Just a stone's throw from London and the Metropolitan Line you would never guess that the little old town of Amersham is in Zone 9 as the countryside stretches out in front of you. Pairing little and large perfectly; it is quietly breath-taking from its spectacular domed main hall to its tiny finer details of the glittering chandeliers in the elegant reception room. Have your ceremony atop the original classic pulpit to draw all eyes to you, or have it as a stunning backdrop to your nuptials. Later spill out into our walled garden or beautiful reception room for a celebratory glass of bubbly (or several!), and then wander in to take your seats for the most delicious hearty meal prepared fresh on site. With the option of a late bar and accommodation on site, continue the party on into the early hours of the morning and then let us help you to a hearty full English and continental breakfast. We truly believe every wedding is unique and so we are not a package venue; we itemise everything separately and let you pick and choose whatever you'd like to make your bespoke day come to life, from decorating the venue to selecting the menu. The Kings Chapel ticked all the boxes. We were assigned Lara as our wedding planner who was amazing from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious. Everything went so smoothly and Lara was so relaxed and met all of our requests and put me at ease in what can be quite a stressful time. The staff were fantastic and I'd highly recommend Kings Chapel. It was our dream day. My husband and I wanted a relaxed wedding and to stick to a budget but had a large guest list. Our wedding planners were Sallieann and Lara and they were amazing, managing every fine detail, responding to emails and messages promptly and just making what's normally a stressful experience, very relaxing. The food here is amazing and we can't recommend this venue enough, it's still a bit of a hidden gem. We got married here at the end of July 2026, it was such a smooth process from start to finish. Our wedding planners were Sallieann and Lara and they were amazing, managing every fine detail, responding to emails and messages promptly and just making what's normally a stressful experience, very relaxing. The food here is amazing and we can't recommend this venue enough, it's still a bit of a hidden gem.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
It's so hard to choose! Every wedding is so different and unique, which is the best thing about them! We always love when couples make the most of the unique venue and go for really different or interesting decorations.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Consider what is most important to you! You'll feel a lot of pressure from your budget, or family and friends and be eager to please everyone, sometimes to the detriment of your own enjoyment of the day - truly the only 2 people who need to be happiest on the day are you and your future spouse.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We always love it when something really special to the couple can be included, whether it's homegrown flowers in the bouquets, or Mum making the wedding cake. Our favorite times often include when there has been a surprise planned for the happy couple that they genuinely had no idea about!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our recommended photographers always manage to find new angles in unique nooks and crannies! We have so many different and interesting features, it's hard to pick the best spot! It really depends on what the couples value the most about our amazing venue.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Marc Owen from Take That performed as a surprise for one couple. We've also had Theo James attend and try not to steal the Bride and Groom's thunder!
What’s your favourite canapé?
We have a really wide range of choices for canapés but the definite crowd-pleaser is our homemade pork and sage sausage rolls... pass us the plate please!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Who can beat a celebration cake of cheese at the end of the night! Yummy!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
It's got to be a choice of 3; either our original pulpit, the elegant mezzanine or the spectacular domed ceiling with one of the largest unsupported domes in England.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We particularly take pride in the fact that all of our weddings are so individual, and that we are able to make this possible. The team of planners are genuinely friendly and interested in people and the different stories that pass through our doors, and making people happy is what makes us tick. We man the office 7 days a week and are always up for a chat and ready to answer any questions you may have.
