Wouldn’t waste your time or money Wouldn’t waste your time or money
It seems relatively cheap compared to other venues, and the service they provide is a reflect of that. There were a number of things that the venue did that ruined our day. And upon asking for some sort of refund, we were fobbed off for nearly 2 months, not getting any actual answers. Following another complaint from a guest, they have then shared my entire email chain and email address, which is a massive GDPR breach. The getting ready room for the bride is a conference room, which has used plasters, fake fingernails and straw all over the floor, not to mention the 100+ chairs stacked up and multiple tables. Having to pay an additional £500 for an actual getting ready room, when you've already spent thousands is ridiculous and should be included in the price. Eventually got breakfast after asking for hours, and then it was left in our room all morning. They then changed how we were getting to the ceremony room as they couldn't be bothered to take out the mountain of chairs in the room. The groom didn't have a set getting ready room, was told he could get ready in a room that was being set up, luckily we'd booked to stay the night before so he could get ready in our room. The staff were unhelpful and rude. All the food was late coming out, some of it already cold or undercooked. Rude comments could be heard from the kitchen. They never bothered to open our bar in our marquee, and only had one person on the main bar inside the hotel, which was already out of the 2 main lager by 12:30pm, when my guests arrived. Also had the other marquee at this bar as their bar also wasn't fully stocked. No aircon here either. Half of the rooms didn't have aircon, the wedding coordinator was useless. They hadn't set up enough tables for our wedding reception, and we had to ask for the remainder of the tables to be set up. The chairs that they supply are faulty, my sister in law cut her hand severely on the chair, it was our DJ who had to administer first aid, as there was no one from the venue around, when someone was eventually found, she was told there was no one first air trained. The staff were shouting at us to get out of the drinks reception room at the end of the evening, wouldn't let me collect any of our stuff. They then threw away one of our cake toppers, and broke the other. They have taken zero accountability for this. When we asked them the next day why it was broken, she was dismissive and rude, and left us waiting for around an hour and a half. After complaining to the venue, we were called liars multiple times and they have taken no action to rectify the issues. They initially offered us a 2 night stay and an afternoon tea, like that would make up for ruining multiple aspects of our wedding day. Why would I want to return to a venue that treated people so horribly and ruined my wedding day? We had the most incredible experience with Hunton Park as our wedding venue and couldn’t be happier with our choice. From the moment we arrived for our tour we absolutely fell in love with the place. The stunning mansion, orangery, beautiful grounds, and the warm welcome we received made it an easy decision to book right away. We had a change in wedding coordinator during the planning process, both Lisa and Amy handled everything flawlessly. Their coordination was seamless, and they made the entire process feel effortless and stress-free. The team at Hunton Park were incredibly flexible and helpful throughout, always happy to accommodate our requests and support us with any questions or adjustments. On the day, everything ran smoothly, and we were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment. We had so many compliments from our guests on the delicious food, the gardens and the mansion rooms which were absolutely beautiful. It truly felt like a dream come true, and the staff played such a big role in making that happen. Best day ever!Best day ever!
I hosted my wedding here in April which we had been planning for a while. There had been quite a few staff changes so we were initially skeptical about how our day would be. Luckily, we crossed paths with the current Senior Events Manager Lisa, who really took her time to understand us as a couple and our requirements for our wedding. We had so many last minute changes, but she went out of her way to make it as smooth and seamless as possible, and we are eternally grateful to her! The venue is on beautiful grounds, and luckily weather was on our side which really brought out the greenery of the venue! We also spent the night at the newly refurbished rooms which were large and really well decorated!I hosted my wedding here in April which we had been planning for a while. Hi Laura, Thank you so much for your email - sorry for the delay we’ve just got back for our honeymoon in Cornwall. We had the most amazing day and Pete was very quick at sorting the issue out for us! I’m not sure if you have any Fridays or Saturdays left in December (I’m sure now weddings can have receptions you’ll have lots of booking!) Both Pete and I (and our parents) would like to thank you all for how well the day went! Your support during the ceremony was perfect - thank you for doing the music for us and ensuring everything went without a hitch! To Paz for all his help during the evening - nothing was too much and went above and beyond for us. He came regularly to check on us and I don’t think we ever had an empty glass! Also would like to thank Ciara (I think that was her name and apologies if I spelt it wrong) - she has such good energy and was amazing not only during dinner but she was there for breakfast too. We’re so glad we choose Hunton Park and can’t wait to do it all again next. Not many people get to marry their best friend twice - let alone at a beautiful venue like Hunton Park.
