Start your day in style with preparations taking place either in the large superior en suite bedroom in the Victorian Farm House or the newly refurbished Stable Dressing Room.
Boasting three ceremony areas covering indoor and outdoor options, you can choose from a 200 year old ceremony barn, a secluded Secret Garden or the stunning lawn in front of the Victorian Farm House.
Once your ceremony has taken place, enjoy a drinks reception on the terrace and lawn before heading into the spacious three hat tipi adorned with fairy lights.
On top of all that we have on site accommodation for your nearest and dearest and additional accommodation 5 minutes taxi away!
At Lodge Farm, we pride ourself on making sure you have the perfect wedding day. Therefore, when you book a wedding, we will give you exclusive use of our beautiful venue, with an option of either a one or two day wedding.
Our packages gives you a full event planning service and accommodation for up to 16 people with sole use of the venue.
Lodge Farm House is a country wedding venue in King's Walden, Hertfordshire, England. The Barn
Our ceremony barn offers a beautiful rustic space for up to 150 guests to witness your special moment! A combination of fairy lighting, gorgeous willow arch and chandelliers, as well as natural lighting, make for a perfect indoor space to tie the knot!
The Lawn
If you are looking for a spacious outdoor ceremony then the lawn is perfect! With the backdrop of the formal garden and the house, it is a stunning place for up to 150 guests to enjoy the outdoors during your ceremony!
The Secret Garden
If you are looking for a more intimate ceremony the secret garden is for you. With a capacity of up to 50 guests you can enjoy your special moment with your nearest and dearest. Get married under the beautiful arbor in this lovely secluded space.
Facilities and Capacity
Lodge Farm House caters for numbers between a minimum of 50 up to 150 guests during the day and up to 200 in the evening. Fine dining or tasty, informal sharing platters are on offer on the catering menu, ensuring that we have everyone's tastes covered. The venue also offers award-winning accommodation for up to 16 people, so when the evening's celebrations are through, you and your wedding party can retire to rest in comfort and style.

If you haven't booked your venue yet, I would highly advise a visit - you will not be disappointed! It’s a bittersweet feeling - over the moon that we’ve had our perfect day, but sad we won’t be going back to Lodge Farm to see Liz and the Team! The grounds are absolutely incredible, a big selling point for us was that we were able to stage the wedding ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast in different areas which meant our guests didn’t have any hanging around for turn arounds. Nicki & Liz, supported us from start to finish, nothing was too much as they truly took such control of the day We got married on Thursday 11th June and from the moment we viewed Lodge Farm, we knew it was the venue for us. All our guests LOVED the setting. Bob and Carol were so lovely in the house, making us feel really welcome and comfortable. Their breakfast was also incredibly yummy! Shout out to Bob's perfect eggs! The house itself is beautiful and we had a wonderful time getting ready in the morning, it was such a joy to have all our immediate family stay with us. The grounds and Tipi were perfect! From the day we booked we were taken care of, Liz really went above and beyond for us, even helping us with our flowers. Where can wedding ceremonies be held at Lodge Farm House?
We have three locations for ceremonies:
- The main lawn
- The secret garden
- The Barn
All locations offer a beautiful and intimate setting for exchanging vows and rings with a celebrant or local registrar officiating.
Can Lodge Farm House accommodate legal wedding ceremonies with a registrar?
Yes, Lodge Farm House can host legal wedding ceremonies conducted by a local registrar, allowing couples to exchange rings and vows on-site either on the main lawn or in the secret garden. Registrars are booked separately to the venue by the couple as soon as the venue is confirmed.
What drinks packages are offered at Lodge Farm House?
- Bronze Package Two reception drinks per person consisting of beer and/or Prosecco. Glass of Prosecco for toast drink per person. Elderflower spritz. £18 per person.
- Silver Package One welcome drink consisting of beer and/or Prosecco. Two reception drinks per person consisting of beer, Prosecco, and either Pimms or Aperol Spritz. Glass of Prosecco for toast drink per person. Elderflower spritz. £24 per person.
- Gold Package One welcome drink consisting of beer and/or Prosecco. Three reception drinks per person consisting of beer, Prosecco, and either Pimms or Aperol Spritz. Glass of Prosecco for toast drink per person. Elderflower spritz. £30 per person.
- Wine Package Add premium wine to any of the above packages. £12 per person for half a bottle of house wine.
Additionally, the venue's fully stocked and staffed bar is available as a pay bar for guests throughout the event.
Is there event management support included in the venue hire?
Yes, Lodge Farm House includes an event management service within the cost of the ground hire. The team assists with:
- All wedding details leading up to the big day
- On-the-day coordination
- Support throughout the entire event to ensure everything runs smoothly
How many guests can the Lodge Farm House accommodation sleep?
The farmhouse accommodation at Lodge Farm House can sleep up to 16 guests comfortably, with all bedrooms included as part of the exclusive hire package for two nights, complete with breakfast.
Can we personalise our wedding setup at Lodge Farm House?
Yes, exclusive venue hire includes access to the farm the day before your wedding (for two day weddings), allowing time to set up and personalise your structure and décor to create a unique wedding experience.
For one day weddings we recommend you use our styling service to set up the areas for you the morning of your wedding.
Is the venue accessible
Lodge Farm has stone pathways and steps leading from the carpark to the lawn and ceremony barn. Closer access can be offered via vehicle but access around the site will still include stones and steps. An accessible toilet can be hired in upon request. There are no dedicated baby changing facilities.
