A Perfect Day!
We booked two years before our date just before Covid began. The team were brilliant at keeping us updated with everything going on. Leading up to the day Emma was brilliant always a email or phone call away to help and answer questions.
All our guests havent stopped mentioning how beautiful the venue is.
We just missed out on the accomodation however they look like a brilliant addition.

Hanbury wedding barns were absolutely incredible during our wedding day. They answered every single email I sent very quickly and helped us every step of the way to plan and prepare for our wedding. Even during Covid times they made it beautiful. Adrian and Emma were there with us the entire day, from welcoming guests to dispatching bridesmaids, helping with zoom, organising the room and much much more. They made sure our day went smoothly with no troubles at all and did it all with such a friendly warm attitude. The venue is beautiful and everything we could of wishes for. They always went the extra mile, even opening up the gateway to a near by field and trekking through the grass with us so our photographer could get some nice pictures. Adrian even managed to snap some lovely photos of our ceremony himself which was so special. I can’t say enough good things about this venue and the people. The family owners have been so flexible with our changing dates and last minute changes I can’t thank them enough. They bought some calm and comfort into what could of been a very stressful time with covid restrictions. Thank you so much Hanbury wedding barns. The communication in the lead up to the wedding was amazing & made the whole planning process extremely easy.
We cannot recommend Adrian, Emma and the team at Hanbury enough! They helped us to pull forward our wedding last minute due to covid & lockdown helping us to get everything arranged within three days! They went out of there way to ensure we had the best day possible at there stunning venue. The communication in the lead up to the wedding was amazing & made the whole planning process extremely easy. We can't wait to do it all again with all of our friends and family this year!

he day itself was absolutely perfect. Definitely not what we originally planned but Adrian and Emma made our day perfect.
Myself and my husband couldn't be happier with our wedding at Hanbury Wedding Barn. Our original date was supposed to be in November 2020 and throughout the pandemic, Adrian and Emma kept us well up to date with new rules and regulations as the government updated the Covid rules. They were both always at the end of the phone line or email if we needed to chat or have anything answered. Unfortunately our wedding date got cancelled 4 weeks before, but Emma was amazing at helping organise our new date in December. The day itself was absolutely perfect. Definitely not what we originally planned but Adrian and Emma made our day perfect and we would not change a thing. The venue itself is gorgeous, we booked it originally when it was still entirely under renovation and we were just sold on Adrian's vision.
We had our ceremony here last week and I can't rate Hanbury highly enough! After having to postpone our original wedding from the first lockdown, we moved it to October. Adrian and Emma have been fantastic throughout the whole experience, both extremely personable and friendly and made the whole process very easy despite the circumstances. The venue itself is gorgeous, we booked it originally when it was still entirely under renovation and we were just sold on Adrian's vision. It has exceeded our expectations, it is modern but rustic with character as well. On the day of the ceremony, they were brilliant again. Offering advice about what would work best, and as helpful as you could want. We are very much looking forward to having our full wedding party at Hanbury when we can.

Describe the best wedding that happened at Hanbury Wedding Barn?
Probably our first! As is the way with these things, the construction went to the wire and we will still screwing down decking as the brides arrived in the morning. It was an impossibly long day but it represented the culmination of years of work. To see it come to fruition was beyond rewarding.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Delegate. Wedding days are busy events with many moving parts. Make sure you have someone with you who you trust to take care of any questions as they happen.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
This is hard to answer, there have been so many. The one that sticks out the most is when the bride's mother swapped our hand soap in the bathroom with soap she had had made that matched the colour scheme of the wedding!

Where’s the best photo spot at Hanbury Wedding Barn?
Again, too many to chose from. As a wedding photographer of 10 years experience, when we were planning a venue I made sure to include many good spots. You have the choice of the gardens, the lake with its island, the pavilion, the old red brick barns or the sprawling fields beyond.

What’s your favourite canapé?
Being a northern lad, anything in a mini Yorkshire pudding!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Usually whatever the caterers have left for us.
What is Hanbury Wedding Barn most unique feature?
As I mentioned above, when laying out the barns we drew on my 10 years experience as a wedding photographer with a big focus on the flow of a wedding day and making sure the barns were inclusive and kept the energy of the celebration high. We worked hard to match up the contemporary feel of the new barns with the rustic look of the old and retain many of the original features. All that said, I think our most unique feature is that we are family run. This gives us a very personal approach to couples and their celebrations which can make such a difference to a wedding day.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Probably the fact that we are here at all. From the idea of opening a venue being conceived in 2016, a year of planning and discussion, a year of searching for the perfect site to renovate, nearly a year waiting for planning permission, 7 months initial construction with more ongoing to this day, it has been a long road. This has been a big family project with everyone contributing their invaluable experience and family members even moving back from Australia for a year to help out. All in all, something to be proud of!
