Possibly where we feature the art installation 'Tying of Knots'. It is a unique piece of art that wraps around the walls of our ground to first floor stairs. Light pours in through the window, and it captures our powder blue iron-wrought banister that runs all the way up through the hotel, like the spine to our whole structure.

What’s your favourite canapé?
From our menu, it would be our beef tartare with cured egg yolk or prawn tempura for savoury choice and for sweet, it would be either fig tartlet or apple crumble.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Our devilishly chocolate brownies from the Pantry. We have a Pantry on each floor, open all hours for all hotel guests to help themselves to a Teapigs tea, Nespresso coffee, fruit and baked treats.
What is Great Northern Hotel, London most unique feature?
Possibly the architecture of the building, designed by Victorian architect Lewis Cubitt in 1854. The Italianate facade, the curved structure, high ceilings and wide corridors are all hallmarks of the hotel's history and provide endless character. Or the art installation that wraps around the walls of the staircase from ground to 1st floor, aptly called 'A Tying of Knots' by artist Debbie Smyth. Both are a privilege to call our own and it is a joy to see historical design meet modern art.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our service. There is a sense of ownership and pride in delivering top-notch service where attention to detail and guest experience is paramount. It starts from the top down and is sown into the hotel of our culture.
