Sandon Hall is one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the Midlands. The country mansion’s magnificent interior and picturesque gardens make it the perfect location for a wedding, civil partnership ceremony or reception.
Our choice of elegant rooms are ideal for indoor weddings, seating up to 120 people, free of any distractions or other parties. Our Temple Garden is a quiet and intimate setting for Outdoor Ceremonies with far reaching views of the Staffordshire Countryside.
We have our very own church nestled within the estate. The Grade I listed, 13th Century All Saints Church is a picture-perfect English rural church, with a meandering driveway through 400 acres of parkland leading the wedding party to the hall to continue the celebration.
The Hall itself is set amid 50 acres of formal gardens, designed by the esteemed landscape architect William Eames. Spring and summer weddings in particular see guests spill out onto the elegant terrace and sweeping lawns, where younger guests can run freely.
We also have on-site accommodation with our renovated, light and spacious lodge nestled within the Estate, which will be available to book alongside your wedding. In addition to period charms, the house provides modern comforts and a relaxing experience for the wedding couple, their families or guests. The property is equipped with 4 double bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and private parking and garden.

All the pre wedding prep and the day time felt effortless because of the lovely staff at sandon! Everyone we dealt with was lovely, organised, helpful, perfect in every single way. The venue itself is timeless and classic, gorgeous for photos to remember your day by. The getting ready room for bridal party is spacious, we had 9 people getting ready and it feel like there was room for more if needed. There is separate rooms to hide 'mess' of the day so your bridal prep room stays clear and calm. Reeves cottage was great for the grooms party to have a private space the morning of the wedding to get ready, with a fridge for drinks and kitchen to get some breakfast on the go if you want. The choice for ceremony room means that you are safe if you want a outdoor, indoor, or indoor but still feels outdoor and airy (conservatory) aisle. The organisation of the team is a credit to the venue, we didn't feel any pressure to do anything any specific way, everything was met with 'yes we can do this, or we've done it this way before and it worked well, would that be of interest?' as we've never planned a wedding before so their fine tuning suggestions for our initial ideas were very helpful! Sandon was the perfect choice for us, and so glad we found this little hidden gem! We held a Tipi wedding in our gardens. The tables were decorated with wild flowers and they had beautiful rugs on the floor. Over 200 people enjoyed the event.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Colour co-ordinated umbrellas for guests and individual fans for each guest for an outdoor ceremony, designed from the stunning Chinoiserie wallpaper in our drawing room.

The decor has not been changed, you can still see the original paintings on the wall and the hand painted silk wall paper, you are entering into the much loved home of Lord and Lady Harrowby.
