We love weddings! It’s what we do, and we do it well. We specialise in hosting beautiful weddings, ranging from large and formal, to small and informal, unique, and even very quirky. Each day is different, and we love it! In our packages we include lots for you so you dont need to worry! Getting Ready Room, drinks, catering...weve got you covered!

We had the most amazing wedding at Danby Castle - it was incredibly beautiful from start to finish. We have to thank Natasha for being absolutely fantastic in making sure everything ran smoothly - and was around to help in any way she could, whilst also being absolutely lovely. The food was really delicious - and so many guests commented that it was the best wedding they had ever been too (and the most beautiful!). We had the best day ever, and are a little sad it's over! Natasha also sent us this photo of our confetti toss, which we are so grateful forWe had the most amazing wedding at Danby Castle - it was incredibly beautiful from start to finish. We have to thank Natasha for being absolutely fantastic in making sure everything ran smoothly - and was around to help in any way she could, whilst also being absolutely lovely. From start to finish, the full day flowed perfectly. Nothing was ever too much for our wedding coordinator Natasha & she organised the day to perfection. The venue itself was so picturesque on the day and completely exceeded any expectations that we had. I think every guest complimented the food saying it’s the best meal they’d ever had at a wedding & the entertainment on the evening was brilliant! All the staff on site were super friendly also. The Pickering Call A Car shuttle service we hired for guests to get back to their accommodation ran seamlessly. Thank you doesn’t quite seem sufficient, but thank you anyway for making the most special day of our lives extra special. We had our wedding here on 20.09.25 and it was the best day ever!!! Ever since I saw this venue online I instantly fell in love with it, we came away from our viewing and knew we had to book it. Our coordinator, Leah, and evening manager, Holly, and all the staff at Danby were brilliant and did everything they could to help and support the day! The weather wasn’t on our side but they quickly adapted the plan to ensure everything ran smoothly. We had our wedding here on 20.09.25 and it was the best day ever!!! We got married here 3rd December and we could not have asked for a more magical day. From booking the venue to the day after our wedding everything was perfect. All the staff were wonderful, nothing was ever too much. Whether it was answering questions over emails or making sure we had everything we could possibly need on our wedding day. Our wedding took place in July 2025 and we had the most wonderful day that we will never forget. Danby Castle was such a beautiful wedding venue. Staff were so helpful and professional. The stunning new Dale View barn had just opened before out wedding which meant we could use this for our wedding breakfast and we couldnt have asked for more....our day was perfect. Thank you to all the staff at Danby Castle who worked hard to make this possible on the day. With every wedding being different from each other, it is difficult to choose as they are all so unique! Every wedding is the best wedding!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

We are the experts, we don't expect you to be experts. You may think you're asking a silly question but I can assure you that we've already been asked before. Your wedding is said to be the best day of your life, which means that planning the best day of your life should be fun and enjoyable!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We encourage couples to add personal touches around the venue as we believe that wedding days should be reflective of the couple getting married. Some of our favourite personal touches are personalised guest books and table names that are personal to the couple eg. Paris is the table name and that is where the couple got engaged, Danby is the table name and that is where to couple got married etc.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

The lawn overlooking the Esk Valley...but there are so many beautiful places for photos around us. Your photographer will be spoilt for choices to get the most amazing shots!

Have you had any celebrity guests or wedding at your venue?

Yes! From soap stars to olympic athletes - as we are away from prying eyes!! But we are not going to tell you who!

What’s your favourite canapé?

Miniature Yorkshire puddings with roast beef and horseradish cream...or the baby roast potatoes with cream cheese and chives...or the cajun chicken skewers

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Our fab homemade pizza or our big fat supper buns stuffed full of BBQ pulled pork with Chefs fab crackling straws on the side!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

The original judge's bench in the Court Room, the intricate wood panelling in the Jury Room, the remains of the threshing machine in the Threshing Barn, the ancient Danby Castle Ruins overlooking the stunning Esk Valley and the authentic wooden beams in our newly renovated Barn!

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our team - without our great staff we would not be able to deliver such wonderful weddings!
