Steeped in history, London’s oldest botanical garden is a beautiful and memorable venue for your special city wedding. The Chelsea Physic Garden is a botanical garden venue with a large marquee as an optional hire. The venue is ‘dry hire’ so couples can choose from a wide range of accredited suppliers to create your dream team. There is a wedding ceremony room available for up to 70 guests, and blessings in the gardens are welcome. The entire garden venue is available to hire exclusively, and areas can also be booked separately. Often referred to as London's Secret Garden, your wedding here promises to be an intimate and unique celebration. The Garden was founded by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London in 1673 for apprentices to study the medicinal qualities of plants, becoming one of the most important centres of botany and plant exchange in the world. Today it remains a centre for learning, with over 5000 plants from around the world.
