Thank You
We greatly enjoyed our visit on the above occasion and were struck by the quality of the organisation, and the dedication of the staff to provide a quality service, in particular a young man called Harry, who worked tirelessly throughout the day. Thank you.

Breathtaking Venue
I always feel extremely lucky when I’m booked to photograph weddings at Birdsall House. The house is beyond beautiful with each room offering a different unique charm and atmosphere and the grounds are just breathtaking. Everywhere you look there is inspiration for the most beautiful photographs. The team there are incredibly helpful, kind and most importantly bubbly and friendly. Nothing is ever too much for them and they go above and beyond to make sure everyone has the perfect day. There are few better settings for a wedding in the countryside - for photographers like me, who loves natural and beautiful settings to work in, it's perfect. I would recommend this beautiful venue to anyone.

We couldn't recommend Birdsall House More Highly
We held our wedding at Birdsall House and honestly had the best day of our lives. Becky, the wedding coordinator helped us seamlessly move our date 3 times because of the pandemic and it was perfect. The team went out of their way to make sure we had everything and they organised the weekend beautifully, right down to the smallest detail. Our guests were all wowed by the setting and loved being able to eat in the stunning ballroom. We couldn't recommend Birdsall House more highly, it was the perfect venue for our wedding and a place we will always be fond of.

I cannot recommend it enough!
We had our wedding at Birdsall House earlier this summer and I cannot recommend it enough! Everything was absolutely fantastic! It’s a beautiful house set in private grounds and enough bedrooms to sleep immediate family. There is also a church onsite or multiple locations for a civil ceremony inside or outside in the stunning ruins - making it the perfect weekend wedding venue. We are so so pleased with our photos. It was a pleasure working with Becky (the wedding coordinator) and Lady Cara over the last 2 years making everything easy, coordinating with our suppliers and navigating the ever changing Covid rules. They were always quick to reply and had great suggestions of local suppliers. Nothing was too much for the Birdsall team - they even organised a last minute manicure for the day before the wedding when I was unexpectedly let down. Exceptional service!! On the morning of the wedding itself, nothing was too much trouble and Lady Cara and Becky were always one step ahead taking care of all the organisation. A massive thanks from us and I cannot recommend this venue more highly.

The most perfect venue for a lovely happy country wedding
Our daughter got married last weekend at Birdsall House and it was the most perfect venue for a lovely happy country wedding. The house felt like a home, which it is, instead of a corporate venue which added to the relaxed feel of the wedding.Nothing was too much trouble and I cannot thank everyone involved more for making the whole weekend perfect in every way .

Beautiful House and Surroundings
The beautiful surroundings of Birdsall House and St Mary's Church provided a wonderful and unique setting for our special day. We loved our wedding photos being taken at the old temple, the 12th century ruins and the lake. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, allowing us to relax and enjoy the day to the full. A beautiful venue with an excellent team that produced the best day, which we will remember forever!"

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

They've all been so great I'm struggling to decide! I think the best ones have been where the couples and their family are relaxed and truly enjoying their day. I'm here to make sure your big days is beautifully planned and executed.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Always plan for 10 minutes alone with your newly betrothed. Your day will fly by in a flurry of hugs and champagne and you must take time out to let it sink in... and do your table plan early!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

There were signs dotted around the wedding with pronunciations of Welsh words as the bride came from Wales. It gave everyone a great talking point and quite a few giggles seeing people how to pronounce lechyd Da!

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Breath-taking, elegant, historic, picturesque, welcoming.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

I do love the view from across the lake looking up towards the house. It makes for a really lovely photo of the bride and groom as they walk through the gardens with their reflections mirrored in the water.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

My lips are sealed!

What’s your favourite canapé?

Anything by one of our lovely caterers - haven't tried a bad one yet! Although I do remember being very taken by a tattle scone with haggis and caramelised red onion on top - that was jolly good!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Tomato, mozzarella and pesto Piadinas!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Our 11th century ruins right in front of the house. Perfect for holding a wedding ceremony or for fabulous photographs.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

I really think above all it is our team. It is such an honour to be able to host someone's wedding, so we really try our very best to make it the most special day of people's lives, and it is all made possible by everyone here who always go above and beyond.
