Situated in a scenic Castlefield location, we have four stunning rooms for hire that are perfect for hosting weddings in Manchester. These rooms can accommodate between 30 to 150 guests, and will allow everyone involved to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Just imagine the gorgeous wedding photos taken beside the historic Canal Basin and white footbridge!
In such a beautiful location and providing such fantastic rooms for hire, Barca offer you a romantic backdrop as part of our stunning Manchester wedding venue.
Two of our wedding rooms for hire come with access to a balcony over-looking Castlefield and the canal. Every room offers a private bar and mouth-watering food, with everything from canapes to a three-course meal available for you to choose from. We also have our very own in-house DJ and lots of suppliers we can recommend to help your day run smoothly.

- KKatie & Harry05/06/2024Nasty and Unprofessional Nasty and UnprofessionalWe booked Barca Bar for a May wedding. Went for a meeting in November, both took the day off. No-one turned up for almost an hour. When we went we realised we wanted an additional room and increase our guests, when we said we wanted it and was added, we were then told renovations will be done and completed by end of January/beginning of February. Some, at best, patchy communication throughout with two contact points leaving without us being informed. We then became concerned that the building work, promised to be completed end of Jan, was not going the done as we had no communication of progress by Mid-March. We finally received written assurance from Barca Bar (after a few weeks of chasing) that the suite would be ready and duly paid monies owed. Then two weeks prior, we were informed that it would not be ready and no alternative was offered at first. A less than suitable alternative was then offered which we had already viewed and deemed not suitable. We were then offered a full refund in writing, TWICE, which they then reneged on just two days before our handily rearranged wedding. I believe this was a malicious ploy and caused a lot of hurt. Almost 3 weeks on and they have barely been in contact even refusing to acknowledge our solicitors email for over 10 days. Would avoid this place at all costs, very unprofessional, unorganised and downright nasty at this point. Our experience was poor communication, broken promises, lots of wasted time and even more wasted energy trying to get our money back. Working with another venue, we experienced way better service and support for our wedding and had a great day.We booked Barca Bar for a May wedding. - BBilly & Adele28/10/2019Wedding Reception FANTASTICWedding Reception FANTASTICWe hired the VIP Lounge for our evening reception (the day reception was on a barge that dropped us at BARCA) We had an amazing evening with 100+ friends and family - the band were playing, the sun was shining, too much dancing (my feet are still sore) and the food was delicious. We opted for Cheese boards, Pizzas, wedges, salad etc.... and they went down a storm - compliments to the chef. Huge thanks to Jade who was on call for every query and meltdown I had during the run up to the event; Jade you are a star :):) Everything ran like clockwork. Milly was on hand during the evening to ensure everything ran smoothly and the bar staff were amazing - always smiling with great personalities!!!! Everyone done a fantastic job and made the night so memorable. I can't thank you all enough - each and every one of our party had a fantastic time at a great venue - next stop the wedding vow renewals hahahahaha We want to do it all over again. The venue is stunning and the staff were great.
