I am so aware of the many forms of love in this world and am thrilled by the prospect of ‘bottling’ the joy it brings. The photos from my own wedding day are such a perfect reminder of the magic we found on that particular day and have inspired me to give other couples the same experience. Kate made our wedding an absolute dream. Myself and my husband aren't natural Or always fully comfortable in front of the camera but Kate made everything so easy. She understood us and our wedding from our very first conversation, and really helped with extra little bits of advice and tips to make it the best it can be. She's always beautifully presented, friendly and super professional and she makes everything so much fun.

Kate was absolutely amazing...
Kate was absolutely amazing, we could not have asked for a better photographer, even in the lead up to the wedding, sending me emails with tips and reminders, it was lovely to have someone as excited about my wedding as I was. On the actual day of my wedding I had come down with the flu (gutted!) Kate was so understanding and helped me out so much I could not have carried on like I did with out her. I not only hired a photographer but a best friend too! With beautiful pictures to be treasured.

What is your most memorable wedding?
I was lucky enough to shoot a 2-day wedding celebration this year that was truly a labour of love for the couple: the groom's father performed the ceremony and only 20 close family members attended but then the reception 3 days later was almost like a wild house party at the stunning Parsonage Gardens in Didsbury!

How I've worked so hard whilst being a wife and mother of a toddler and built a successful business from the ground up, maintaining close relationships with other wedding professionals

Listen only to yourselves and plan a wedding that celebrates YOU and your relationship without bending too much to anyone else's will!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A polaroid guestbook!

A good dramatic, full-length portrait showing off the outfits and the venue! (trickier to do than it sounds)

a good clear bubble umbrella and a bit of courage
Describe how you got into photography.
I am an American who found her new hometown in beautiful rainy Manchester. I moved to the UK in the Autumn of 2010 after spending my post-university years living in Hamburg, Germany where I met my lovely English husband. The daughter of an artist, I grew up in a household that always encouraged creativity and finding one's path through self-expression.
At university I variously studied painting, theatre, and film but it was a semester spent in Florence where I learned about photography. I learned the history of the medium and how to process and develop my own film whilst living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I began collecting vintage and antique cameras, playing with 35 mm and Poloroid film and ultimately discovering the magic of digital photography.
Upon meeting my husband, I proceeded to photograph every detail, every event to the point where we now have a photographic archive of our relationship. With the birth of our daughter, the archive now has a (huge!) new chapter.
