What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding reminded me of a fairytale with the little Bridesmaids surrounding the Bride all throughout the day, the venue was in a barn and during spring where the flowers were blossoming. Also, having the opportunity to photograph my auntie's big day and my grandparents renewing their wedding vows for their 50th Anniversary.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Modern, Documentary, Artistic, Traditional, Editorial
What about your business are you most proud of?
My photography, capturing the essence of a wedding day and making the Bride and Groom fall in love with the memories I've captured.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My #1 wedding planning tip for couples is to stick with your gut instinct when considering venue, decorations, flowers, guests, photographer, etc and purchase what you both fall in love with. Choosing what you both love will make the day super special, as the day would have been made from true love.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
My favourite personal touch seen at a wedding on the main table are flowers placed in handmade white crate open boxes, with wooden Mr and Mrs slates on the front, instead of card wedding place cards.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
My typical process with a couple is once I receive an email and find out that they are interested in my wedding photography, I'll then find out what they want captured on their wedding day (via email or a meeting where I can bring along my portfolio for the couple to have a closer look at my photos, followed by a general discussion of their big day) if the couple are happy to go ahead then I can send them a contract for both parties to sign, along with the couple paying a deposit. Invoice will be sent to the couple, along with a questionnaire to be filled out nearer the time of the wedding day to make sure I have all the information that I need to know for a smooth run.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The #1 photo that I think every couple should take is most definitely an editorial photo with one another, either directed and staged by the photographer, or a choice from the couple that the photographer could try and re-stage.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I would recommend to the couple to really consider the venues interior where the ceremony is taking place, as well as the grounds surrounding the venue. This way if the weather is rainy on the big day, at least there are photo opportunities inside for group photos that'll be as aesthetically pleasing, as if taking the photos outdoors.
Describe how you got into photography.
I started to find a passion for photography when in secondary school, simply from taking selfies and when Instagram developed I was obsessed with showing my pictures to the public. This led me to study photography in college, and university so I've been learning this topic for 7 years.
