What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding has meant a lot to me and I will remember each Wedding as well as the next as I really get to know the couple and the families and friends on the day. I really don't have a favourite as every single one has been so special in its own right and I have just loved creating a unique and personal video for every single couple. If one comes to mind it would be my first ever Wedding as I was so nervous but everything went so smoothly and the couple were absolutely over the moon with their video so I would say this one would be my most memorable as it was the very start of a very special journey for me.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Unforgettable, relaxed, romantic, natural, heartwarming
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the reviews and feedback that I have received from all of my couples. Nothing makes me happier or prouder than making other people happy. My work also reflects how much I observe and am able to capture really special magical moments that perhaps no one else would notice or be around to see.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Imagine how you want to remember your wedding day in your head and go with the photographer and videographer whose that looks like that. Also chat to them first, the personality and attitude of the person you hire is so so so important on the day and throughout the whole booking process.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Would have to be at my most recent wedding where the brides cousin and best friend surprised them by singing acoustically on a grand piano in front of all their friends and family in tribute of the grooms father it was truly magical and there were a lot of tears.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After the booking has been made and depending on how long it is until the Wedding, I will always have a FaceTime conversation with the couple and find out who they are and what their visions are for the wedding and what kind of video they would like. Before the day I will be in contact with the bride and verify timings and on the day it is always such a natural and relaxed introduction as we already know one another pretty well.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
Everything is so exciting as you never know what is going to happen next, but I just love capturing that first moment the couple see one another at the end of the aisle and the mother and fathers reaction when they see their daughter in her dress.
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
The Greatest Showman - Although I wouldn't want to change a thing about it! I was completely blown away by the way every scene blended into the next during the opening 10 minutes. The film flows seamlessly and gives me goosebumps every time and tells a story without a word having to be said. This is the style of filmmaking that I pride myself on and if I ever made a big budget movie it would look and feel very similar cinematically to this movie.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
I always choose the music first and pay for a brilliant subscription where I have access to a huge range of music. I always choose a piece that fits the couple and their story and then edit the footage around that. I am very good at choosing music that really fits and that creates a real sense of emotion and atmosphere.
Describe how you got into videography.
I studied Film and TV Production at University where I found my love and talent for filmmaking, upon completing my degree I filmed a friends wedding and never looked back.
