Welcome to Thomas Edison Films! My name is Thomas, and I am an enthusiastic filmmaker based in Kent with a deep passion for capturing love stories. With several years of experience in wedding videography, as well as producing short films and documentaries, I am committed to creating bespoke, cinematic wedding films that truly reflect the uniqueness of your special day.
My formal education in film production, combined with my professional background, has helped me to refine my craft, producing films that are beautifully composed and meticulously edited. I believe that capturing the most intimate moments without encroaching on your personal space is key, and my discreet approach allows me to achieve this effortlessly. I utilise top-quality, industry-standard equipment, including a lightweight DSLR camera capable of shooting in 4K resolution and a Rode Video Pro microphone for impeccable sound quality.
What distinguishes Thomas Edison Films is my distinctive approach. I particularly enjoy integrating music into my films to evoke the atmosphere of a music video, adding an extra layer of emotion and storytelling. We’re camera-shy. Will you ask us to pose?
Not at all. You don’t need to perform for the camera or know what to do with your hands. I work quietly in the background, letting you enjoy your day while I capture it as it naturally unfolds.
How far in advance should we book?
Popular dates can book up well in advance, particularly during peak wedding season. If you’ve found your date, it’s always worth getting in touch early to check availability.
How do we secure our date?
Once we’ve discussed your plans and chosen your package, a booking deposit secures your date. I’ll guide you through the details so everything is clear before you book.
Do you capture the ceremony and speeches?
Absolutely. The ceremony, vows and speeches are some of the most meaningful parts of your wedding. If you would like these captured in full, we’ll discuss the coverage and audio setup needed for your chosen package.
Will we receive the raw footage?
Raw footage is available as part of selected packages or by arrangement. If keeping the unedited moments is important to you, let me know when enquiring and we’ll discuss the options.
Can we choose the music for our film?
Your film’s soundtrack plays a big part in how it feels. You’re welcome to share your musical preferences, favourite genres or songs that mean something to you. Final music selection will depend on suitable licensing and availability.
