We loved the film so much!
We booked Curious Robin Films to capture our wedding day after watching just one of their wedding’s highlight reels. In fact, it was before we had even set our wedding date, we loved the film so much! An excellent service was provided by all from start to finish, so easy to work with pre and post wedding (and a joy to be with on the big day itself!). We met Rob in the build up to the wedding to enable him to get a feel for what we were looking for and he captured it perfectly, with the final product being delivered in a wonderfully unique wooden box. Professional (but personable) throughout the whole process, you can tell Rob takes great pride in what he does, keeping in regular contact during the editing process post wedding to ensure we were happy, with even minor edits catered for. Thoroughly recommend using Curious Robin Films to anyone who is considering using a Videographer for their wedding, you will not be disappointed. We couldn’t sing Rob’s praises more.

"Managed to capture the day and every emotion"
After hours of searching through wedding videos online, we settled up-on Curious Robin Films to video our wedding in December 2016 and we could not be more happy with our choice! Rob is an absolute professional and takes serious pride in what he does. From our initial meeting, the relaxed way he and the other videographer made us feel on the day, right through to receiving the end product (which was wonderfully packaged!), things could not have been better! The production quality of the final product far surpassed our hopes and expectations, Rob really managed to capture the day and every emotion. We watched so many other wedding videographers videos that just seem to offer 'generic' videos. You can really tell the difference when it comes to Curious Robin Films, just watch some and see. Again, thanks so much to Rob and his team, we loved re-watching our special day and will cherish our wedding video for years to come.

Manages to take our breath away with every viewing
Well, where do we begin? Words cannot describe how perfect we felt out special day went! What made the day even more personal for us was having our friend Rob there to capture every single moment on film! Our wedding goals were to laugh, dance and party hard from the minute we opened our eyes and I think it’s safe to say Rob captured these moments perfectly. The way in which Curious Robin Films managed to present the best moments of our lives in 3 minutes still manages to take our breath away with every viewing For us this was the best gift anyone could receive and we can’t thank Curious Robin Films enough!!

Frequently Asked Questions
(10)

What is your most memorable wedding?

Probably the destination wedding in Sardinia. It was an intense, whirlwind adventure getting there and back but the town and wedding itself was such a magical experience that it made all the travel worth it.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Classical, British, Cinematic, Atmospheric, Enthralling

What about your business are you most proud of?

The track record in capturing the unique essence of each wedding we've filmed, rather than operating to a template.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't worry. There is no reason to stress. Things not going to plan, even catastrophically wrong (bride spilling a whole glass of red wine down her dress), have often made the best moments and cherished memories for the couple.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Probably a surprise video from the Groom's favourite author, Danny Wallace, which is significant because his book Yes Man, was directly responsible for the couple getting together.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I'll usually exchange a few emails and have a phone call or meeting with a couple so we can get a sense if we want to work with each other (yep, it's important for both parties), then move to the formalities of booking and contracts. Then a couple of months pre-wedding I'll send a form out to get the precise details and arrange a physical meeting if possible. Then we're well set up for a wedding day whereby I tend to try not to interfere with the couple too much. It's all about documenting naturally.

What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?

On my iphone - a whale diving.

What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?

The Hobbit trilogy - to fulfil the potential provided by the book. Peter Jackson played a blinder with the Lord of the Rings, but the Hobbit was bloated, forced and missed so many key moments.

What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?

I use stock music but I guess anything with build. Having said that, I love the music of Slow Meadow.

Describe how you got into videography.

I'd done bits and pieces on camcorders, etc over the years, but after getting married myself I got a gopro for a round the world honeymoon (because of its size and weight). A travel film I edited of that inspired a friend to ask me to film their wedding. I did that and suddenly people were asking how to book me.
