Frequently Asked Questions

What is your most memorable wedding?

I shot a wedding in Cortona - a hilltop town in Tuscany, Italy. It was like nowhere I'd ever seen - I spent a couple of days with the family shooting the wedding, and in the end we got along so well I even finished up going to their pool party for a drink the next day. It was my first European wedding - I'll never forget it!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Cinematic, modern, timeless, fun, emotional

What about your business are you most proud of?

I've never had an education in filmmaking - and now I'm lucky enough to make a living from it.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

75% of couples regret not having a videographer - do not be one of those!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

One of the grooms I filmed rode motocross bikes as a hobby - he brought his bike to the wedding and I watched the newlywed couple ride off into the sunset together. I love little personal additions to films like this. One couple also brought their dog. Dogs are always welcome!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We have a friendly chat over the phone, get to know each other a little and go through plans for the day. This can also be a chat over coffee if close enough! On the day I arrive during bridal prep and will shoot until an hour after first dance. Couples often say they barley notice I'm there - I love to mingle with the guests.

What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?

I was hired to shoot a music festival in the Sahara Desert - watching the sunset on top of a sand dune was one of the most incredible things I've ever captured / witnessed.

What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?

Anything by Chris Nolan.

What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?

I hand-pick my audio from various websites and find something that perfectly suits the vibe of the day.

Describe how you got into videography.

Funny story - I actually had an accident when I was younger and with the compensation bought a DSLR camera. In less than a year I had quit my day-job and became a full-time professional photographer. As I progressed, my kit improved - and I made a large investment in a camera that could shoot both stills and video. Fast forward 5 years I'm now lucky enough to be a full-time filmmaker. I've spent 4 summers shooting in Ibiza, produced music videos, shot countless festivals all around Europe and worked with many artists I couldn't have even imagined when I started out (Craig David, Stormzy and Rudimental to name just a few). Already established in the world of filmmaking, as a favour I shot my first wedding for a friend. I was hooked. I knew this is what I would spend the rest of my days doing and where I wanted to put my time. The happiness from weddings is truly infectious, and I have such an incredible time at every single one I shoot.
