What is your most memorable wedding?
A wedding in The Netherlands where the couple were such a delight to work with. Evert & Marinke are a gorgeous Dutch couple who trusted me implicitly to capture their day authentically and it shows! This video can be viewed upon request due to consent restrictions.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
As the quiet autonomous man behind the lens I pride myself on being the all seeing eye of your wedding guests with you, the couple, at the centre. You will hardly notice me but I won't miss a beat! I will capture the natural flow and feel on the day without it feeling stiff or strained.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Go with your gut instinct, it is never wrong. If you like a suppliers style and approach trust them to put you in the spotlight in the most breathtaking way on your special day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A loveseat/ bench to remember those who are no longer walking among us but are with us in spirit. A photograph of the sister of the bride and dad of the groom was laminated and a pretty wildflower bouquet was placed on the bench. The couple wanted me to capture them honouring and remembering them on their day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
First we will have an informal talk to get to know each other and get an idea of the couples likes & dislikes, do's and don'ts and what makes them tick. I will try my hardest to capture their essence as a couple on video. I can work with a wishlist or rough guidelines.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
Entirely up to the couple and their music taste. I often use the first dance song as wedding video soundtrack.
