What about your business are you most proud of?
Since graduating in 2018, I knew I always wanted to try working for myself so when the pandemic hit two years later and I was made redundant I decided it was now or never. Learning how to juggle a part job, how to run a business, and continue to find inspiration for my films has been challenging but it's all worth it when I receive an enquiry and get to be a part of someone's special day.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Communication! Tell me EVERYTHING, right down to napkin colours!
For starters, I personally love hearing every detail of weddings because I am obsessed. The more information you give me as a vendor, the better. It is soo helpful when it comes to the day of filming and editing. I shoot to edit, so I'm always thinking of what to shoot next to help the story flow. So the more I know the easier it is for me to visualize what's going to happen next. It means everything goes smoothly on the day and it makes my editing process slightly quicker so you can see the finished product quicker! Win-win!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my couples had a pup & wanted her to be part of their day so at the back of the cake, there was a small model of their doggo eating a small chunk. You couldn't see it unless you were really looking but it was such a lovely touch and it was so much fun when the guests found it whilst admiring the cake.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once you've enquired & chosen a package that suits your special day, I then ask you to arrange a call for you to ask me any questions you might have & to hear all about you as a couple! 4 weeks before your big day, I will send a questionnaire over just to make sure nothing has changed & I have all the info in one place!
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
A couples session after the meal, at golden hour with my drone was pretty spectacular. The shots were incredible.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
Anything from CHPTRS.
