What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding holds a special place in my heart, but if I had to choose one, it would be the wedding of Sarah and Peter, held in a charming vineyard in Tuscany, Italy. Their deep love for each other and the exquisite beauty of the surroundings created a truly magical atmosphere.
The event's highlight was their vows, passionately spoken under the setting sun, followed by a celebration under the stars filled with heartfelt laughter, tears, and dancing. Capturing the raw emotions, the joy, the subtleties of their relationship, and the spectacular setting was an unforgettable experience.
However, the couple's kind nature, heartfelt appreciation for my work, and the story of love and resilience made this wedding memorable. I feel honoured to have been a part of their special day, and their wedding film is a testament to their love story, a story that I was privileged to tell.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My number one wedding planning tip for couples is prioritising what matters most to you. It's easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of wedding planning and lose sight of what truly matters - celebrating your love.
Identify the aspects of the wedding that are most important to you both. It could be the venue, the food, the music, or in our case, the photography and videography. Once you've determined your priorities, allocate a significant portion of your budget towards them.
Remember, this is your special day. It's a reflection of your shared life and values. Make decisions that will make the day memorable and enjoyable for you. Don't get overly swayed by trends or external pressures.
Take time to enjoy the process. Yes, wedding planning can be stressful, but it can also be fun. It's a unique phase of your life that you'll remember forever, so make sure to soak it all in!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my favourite personal touches at a wedding was when a couple incorporated handwritten notes into their ceremony. They had asked their guests in the invitation to write down advice, well-wishes, or memories and to bring these notes to the wedding. The notes were collected during the ceremony in a beautiful vintage box the couple had picked out together.
The couple decided not to open the box until their first anniversary. It was such a beautiful, personal touch that engaged their guests and created a lasting memento of their special day.
In photography and videography, seeing these heartfelt notes written and exchanged was very touching and provided some truly memorable and emotional moments to capture. It was a testament to how personal touches add depth and warmth to a wedding ceremony.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Our typical process with a couple starts with an initial consultation, which can be conducted over the phone, via video call, or in person. During this meeting, we understand the couple's vision for their wedding day, their style preferences, and any specific requests they may have. We also answer any questions they may have about our services and working style.
Following the consultation, if the couple decides to book our services, we move on to the planning phase. This includes creating a detailed timeline for the wedding day, scouting the venue, if possible, to understand the lighting and layout, and finalising the key moments to capture.
As the wedding day approaches, we keep in close contact with the couple or their wedding planner to ensure we're updated on any changes. On the wedding day, our team arrives early to set up, and we work subtly in the background to capture the day's events unfolding.
After the wedding, we begin the post-production process. We carefully review and edit the footage, ensuring the final product reflects the couple's style and the day's emotions. Once the final edits are done, we deliver the wedding film or photographs to the couple and any additional products they have requested, such as albums or prints.
Throughout the process, we aim to make the couple feel comfortable and confident in our services. We're there to support them and capture their special day as beautifully and memorably as possible.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
A surprise wedding dance was one of the most exciting things we've captured on camera. The couple had told all their guests they would not have a traditional first dance. However, when the time came, they stunned everyone by breaking into a flawlessly choreographed, high-energy routine that involved not just them but their entire wedding party.
The surprise on the guests' faces was priceless, and the excitement in the room was palpable. It was a joy to capture this unique and lively moment, knowing it would be a highlight in the couple's wedding video. The memory of this surprise dance - the couple's radiant smiles, the cheers from the crowd, the energy and the pure joy - is something that we still fondly remember.
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
If given the opportunity, I would have loved to direct "La La Land" by Damien Chazelle. This film, set in contemporary Los Angeles, beautifully showcases a modern-day love story intertwined with the struggles and dreams of aspiring artists.
I chose this film because of its extraordinary blend of classic and modern cinematic techniques. The film employs long takes and sweeping camera movements reminiscent of the Golden Age of Hollywood while simultaneously delivering a fresh and contemporary narrative. Moreover, its vibrant colour palette, compelling performances, and the masterful integration of music and dance sequences offer an immersive and emotional experience.
Directing "La La Land" would provide a great opportunity to experiment with different forms of visual storytelling, explore the depth of human emotions, and depict the beauty, passion, and heartbreak that often accompany the pursuit of dreams. It truly is a filmmaker's dream!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
Choosing a soundtrack for a wedding video is always a highly personalized process because it has to reflect the unique relationship and emotions of the couple. However, a favourite of mine is "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. The song's melody is incredibly moving and romantic, perfectly complements a wedding day's beauty and emotion perfectly.
Every couple is unique, and the soundtrack should be tailored to match their tastes, the mood of the day, and the wedding style. Whether it's a song that has a special meaning for the couple, a tune that gets everyone on the dance floor, or a melody that captures the atmosphere of the day, the goal is always to create a soundtrack that will make the couple's wedding video a touching and unforgettable memento.
Describe how you got into videography.
My journey into videography began in my teenage years when I received my first camera. I was immediately captivated by the ability to capture and preserve moments in time. I found myself filming everything, from family gatherings to nature's beauty. I quickly developed a love for the storytelling aspect of videography, the way a simple clip can evoke such profound emotions.
I pursued this passion academically, studying film and media in college. There, I honed my skills and gained an even deeper appreciation for the art and craft of videography.
The turning point was when a friend asked me to film their wedding. The experience of capturing such a profound and joyous event was immensely rewarding. I was moved by the intimacy and beauty of the day and by how video could capture the moment and the emotion and story behind it.
Since then, I've dedicated myself to wedding videography, using my skills to help couples capture their special day in a meaningful and cinematic way. I consider it a privilege to be part of such an important moment in people's lives, capture their joy, love, and story, and give them something they can cherish for years to come.
