What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The groom singing an original song written by him about the bride, during the humanist wedding ceremony, atop a hill overlooking the Somerset countryside.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I work with couples from the point of enquiry to establish the best package options for them, before sending helpful emails throughout the build-up to the big day. Throughout the day I tend to be on hand for advice, help, and to ensure important moments aren't missed, but typically try to be unobtrusive as I want the day to flow naturally. I work with the couple from preparations in the morning to the evening party, and deliver the film upon completion of the handcrafted edit!
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
Rodeo bulls are always fun, but following a Punjabi marching drummer band was pretty high on the list!
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
Oldboy, because it's the perfect example of Korean cinema at its finest, and an absolute masterpiece of modern cinema.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
I only use officially licensed, copyright-free music, so anything that enhances a narrative without overpowering it.
Describe how you got into videography.
I've always loved film, so I studied film-making at college before doing a BA(Hons) degree in it, before eventually teaching it for 7 years. I decided that I wanted to be more hands-on though, so I transitioned back into full-time film-making and never looked back!
