How would you describe your filming style?
We are unobtrusive and documentary focused. We don't direct your day, force awkward moments, or ask for cheesy, staged poses. Our goal is to capture authentic, raw emotion while maintaining a high-end, cinematic aesthetic. Every frame is intentional.
Do you shoot alone or with a team?
Every wedding we commission is filmed by a dedicated two-person cinematography team. This ensures comprehensive, multi-cam coverage from the morning preparations right through to the evening celebrations, capturing every angle of your day.
What kind of equipment do you use?
Technical excellence is non-negotiable for us. We shoot on industry-leading cinema cameras specifically the Canon C80 L-series lenses. This ensures your film looks and feels like a true motion picture.
Do you offer Same-Day Edits to show at our reception?
Yes. With over a decade of experience, our workflow allows us to seamlessly edit a stunning cinematic highlight film during the downtime of your day. We can premiere this high-impact edit for your evening guests, creating an unforgettable reception moment.
How do you capture audio during the ceremony and speeches?
A great cinematic film is 50% sound. We use discreet, broadcast-quality lavalier microphones and tap directly into the venue's soundboard to ensure your vows, speeches, and ambient audio are recorded with absolute crystal-clear precision.
Will you get in the way of our photographer?
Not at all. We believe in seamless collaboration. We communicate closely with your photographer throughout the day to ensure we both capture the absolute best angles without ever stepping on each other's toes or interrupting the flow of your wedding.
How will we receive our final films?
You will receive exclusive access to our bespoke Draft Cinema Client Portal. Here, you can securely stream your films in stunning 4K, download the master files, and share private links with family and friends. We also provide a bespoke keepsake USB drive.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes. While we are based in Yorkshire, we regularly travel across the UK and internationally for exclusive commissions. Travel and accommodation specifics are fully transparent and discussed during your initial consultation.
How long does it take to receive our wedding films?
Every edit is deliberate and cannot be rushed. Our standard delivery time is 3 to 6 weeks. As a Draft Cinema client, you can track our post-production progress in real-time via your private Client Portal.
Can we meet you before booking?
We insist on it. A strong connection is vital to our process. We offer pre-wedding consultations via video call (or over a coffee if local) to ensure our cinematic vision aligns perfectly with yours before you secure the date.
