What is your most memorable wedding?
The first one we filmed for a blend of excitement and sheer panic. Thankfully we are very proud of the end result.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Unobtrusive, story-driven, modern, creative, elegant
What about your business are you most proud of?
We have our own style. A lot of wedding films follow a formula but we really strive to bring out the emotion of the day and we now have our own very clear style.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be organised. Weddings are all about logistics and organisation.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
You can't beat the personal vows couples write and prepare for one another. To stand at the altar and declare your love in such a personal way is very emotional.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After the booking is confirmed we would arrange a day to meet for a coffee (and a slab of cake of course!) to go over the timings of the day. It's really important to meet the couple in advance to put a name to the face. It also helps on the day as we feel more comfortable. If there are particular people you want filmed on the day then its good to know those in advance. We will ask lots of questions to help us plan our day so we can produce the very best film we can for you.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
Every wedding is exciting!
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
That's a good question which deserves a great answer. I'm still thinking!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
For us the soundtrack needs to be full of emotion and feeling and every wedding has its own unique soundtrack.
Describe how you got into videography.
I first got into filming when I was 12! In my teens I wanted to be a BBC cameraman but ended up going down a different path. And now after shooting corporate videography I diversified into weddings and I absolutely love it!
