What is your most memorable wedding?
Filming Chris Butland-Steed from Channel 4's Gogglebox at the Grand Hotel in Brighton as he married the man he loves, Tony. It was the most diva-themed wedding I've ever been to and I loved every second!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Personal, inventive, cinematic, thoughtful, authentic
What about your business are you most proud of?
Following my dream of being a freelance videographer straight out of graduation and having continuous videography work ever since.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I would say research and recommendations is really important. Look at wedding photos/videos online and find out what style you would like for yours, and if you know the couples in the photos/videos you're looking at, ask which suppliers they used.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The groom was Bulgarian, so all of the readings were read in English, as well as Bulgarian. And also, during the speeches, the best man and the father of the bride (both English) attempted parts of their speech in Bulgarian - and the table with the groom's Bulgarian friends and family on loved it!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I discuss my wedding film style with a couple in more detail via email, a phone call or video call, to ensure that I will provide them with what they are looking for. Once our booking is confirmed, we chat again closer to the time to run through final details. I will always chat to the photographer before the day too. On the day, I will arrive and introduce myself to the wedding party and then continue to film the rest of the day's events.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
Something that meant so much to a groom - him and his mother (with mobility issues) dancing on the dance floor together with his Dad.
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
If we are talking about Hollywood films, then off the top of my head, I would say Titanic, because it's the most epic love story I've ever watched on screen.
Describe how you got into videography.
At school I found I loved directing people in my drama classes, and this progressed to directing on film at college in my Media classes, where I fell in love with the art of editing. Then I took a degree in Film Production and my love for creating films continued.
