The breathtaking, historic octagonal Music Room was added to Woolhanger Manor in 1894. Built by Sir Henry Carew as a gesture of love for his wife and her passion for music and dancing, it is the perfect setting for a wedding!
Original features such as the grandiose Bath stone fireplaces make it a spectacular space. And if you’re looking for a real sense of occasion, the built-in organ and Grand Piano may be used to add that personal touch. The Music Room can host up to 120 guests for the ceremony and a seated wedding breakfast.
The oblong shaped Medieval Room seats 60 guests for an intimate ceremony and can accommodate more for a drinks reception. The room’s rustic charm is complemented by a wonderful fireplace and medieval style chandeliers that hang from the open beam ceiling.
Double doors lead directly into The Music Room if you would like to make use of both spaces.
The Red Room will seat 12 people for a formal dinner or 30 standing guests. For a larger wedding at Woolhanger, we offer the calm and comfort of the Red Room as additional space for you and your guests for a quiet time of reflection.
Woolhanger Manor's private landscaped gardens will be open to you and your guests to explore. The semi-walled raised lawn offers a spectacular location for a marquee or open air drinks reception or function, with the extensive views over Exmoor captured as a backdrop to your photos and memories.
