Description

Weddings at Whatley Manor

Set within 12 acres of beautifully tended gardens and the rolling countryside of the Cotswolds, Whatley offers a wedding setting that feels wonderfully removed from the everyday.

Our Grade II listed manor house, gardens and considered spaces provide an intimate backdrop for celebrations of all sizes, with the freedom to make the day entirely your own. Just under two hours from London, yet a world away from it, Whatley is a place to gather, celebrate and stay awhile.

A Setting with a Sense of Place

The gardens are an important part of Whatley, with 12 acres unfolding around the manor in a collection of distinct spaces. From the Rose Garden and Loggia to quieter corners of the grounds, there are places to gather, pause and enjoy the changing seasons.

Whether exchanging vows outdoors, taking photographs among the gardens or simply enjoying a moment together, the grounds become part of the occasion.

Spaces to Make Your Own

From intimate celebrations to exclusive use of the house and grounds, our spaces offer the flexibility to create a wedding that feels personal and considered.

Intimate Weddings

For smaller celebrations, the Garden Room and adjoining terrace offer an intimate setting for up to 30 guests. For celebrations of up to 60, Grey’s provides a more contemporary setting for your wedding breakfast.

Exclusive Use

For those looking for complete privacy, exclusive use of Whatley gives you the house and grounds as your own for the celebration. With space for up to 100 guests, there is room to shape the occasion around you, from the ceremony through to dinner and beyond. For larger celebrations, a marquee can also be arranged within the grounds.

Outdoor Ceremonies

When the season allows, ceremonies can take place amongst the gardens, with the Loggia or gazebo providing a natural setting for exchanging vows.

Food at the Heart of the Celebration

Food has always been central to the Whatley experience. Our Michelin-starred kitchen brings together seasonal produce, thoughtful cooking and a deep connection to the surrounding landscape, creating menus that are made for the occasion.

Our sommelier can guide you through the wine selection, while our events team works closely with you throughout the planning process — bringing together the details that matter and allowing the day itself to unfold naturally.

Stay a Little Longer

A wedding at Whatley need not end when the celebrations do.

Our 23 individually designed rooms and suites offer a place for you and your guests to retreat to, with up to 50 guests able to stay within the house.

Begin the morning slowly, take time together in the gardens or retreat to Aquarias Spa before or after the celebrations. From the first arrival to the final breakfast, Whatley offers the opportunity to turn a single day into a longer stay — and a wedding into an experience to remember.
