The Getaway Wedding Package. If you wish to go down the route of 'staycation style' you can hire out our magical venue for either two or three nights. This price tariff includes exclusive use of all our Accomodation, Ceremony Venues and Reception Venues. This package is the most popular among couples who wish for their guests and themselves to experience a more mini 'getaway', being able to relax before and use our heated swimming pools, or explore the hidden caves is always a hit, leaving your guests with a wedding to remember. As stated above, the accommodation is included in this price, Watermouth can sleep up to 55 people in our self contained units, so there is plenty of space for all the family to enjoy.

Watermouth Cove Weddings offers a variety of beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that can host all kinds of nuptial occasions. Here, couples can choose from two stunning ceremony areas.
One of our most loved locations is Viewpoint. With bench seating for 125 guests, it’s situated on the Headland. This ceremony area overlooks the North Devon Coastline, guaranteeing you breath-taking photographs to look back on in years to come. With a backdrop of Combe Martin, Hangman Hill and the secluded Broadsands Beach, the view showcases the beauty that North Devon has to offer.A 30 second walk from Viewpoint, yet nestled into woodland greenery, is The Woodland Barn. With seating for 125 guests, The Woodland Barn showcases a beautiful open plan vaulted ceiling with exposed timbers. Huge countryside barn doors, and draping fairy lights, this is the perfect setting for your indoor ceremony. Outside The Woodland Barn is a rustic stone wishing well, not only a beautiful picture opportunity for your guests to enjoy, but is dedicated to the family members and friends that can’t be there to celebrate your special day.

Do not second guess this venue - just book it!
...and book it for as many days/nights as you can afford!
Absolutely everything went smoothly - the venue adapted to our requests and delivered everything they promised and more.
The staff make this venue what is it - utterly perfect. From day one of meeting Zoe, Georgia and the family/team behind this incredible venue, we knew this was no wedding factory. The team were there for us, to make our special day so memorable and personal. All communication has been prompt and no question has felt too silly for them. Organising was simple and with the experience under their belts, they have a wealth of knowledge to tap into if your stuck on something and are slick with all their management on the day, but by no means mechanical.
The food was incredible - despite over running, it all came out hot. Our guests were SO happy with it all. We had quite a few dietary requirements, one of which was particularly challenging, but they catered for them exceptionally well, with our tricky guest gushing with compliments about the food they received as they're used to getting a s*** bowl of lettuce.
Having watched the venue progress since we booked over 2 years ago, we have seen them win awards and they're not sitting back on their success and clocking up the bookings, they're pumping money back into the site, developing their accommodation and adding thoughtful touches - I think I might have to get married again just to see how incredible the venue is in another few years time ;-) !
Accommodation was a huge plus side - having half of our guests stay on site was amazing, The caravans are obviously a bit retro, but were super clean and comfy - our guests were delighted with their fun caravan stay! The cottages are so tastefully done, clean and comfy and all accommodation is so well equipped for self catering. The penthouse bridal suite was just a real treat - spacious and perfect to relax in before our big day.
I don't think you'll find another venue in this country with so much space, stunning views, caves to explore, swimming pools, heaps of accommodation and run by such an exceptional team. I could write for pages and pages, but I'll stop now. Just go and visit them!

This venue is so unique, so beautiful
I photographed a wedding at Watermouth in April and honestly, I love this place!
A huge perk with my job is that I get to see venues in a slightly different perspective as I get to see a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff, and I have to tell you, I can not stop raving about the team there.
First things first, it's beautiful! The beach, the caves, the views, the indoor venue spaces, the woodwork (look closely and you'll spot what I mean), and the bridal sweet is newly furnished and looks fantastic. They've even thought about having a hook in the ceiling so you can hang your wedding dress properly. They have such a great eye for detail, and they have really thought about how to make the most of the venue.
The practical stuff: a venue can be beautiful, but if it's not practical, it really annoys me, again, they have thought of this. Parking, accommodation, all the indoor spaces are easily accessible, the loos are not miles away, I did get a little concerned the slope up to the cliff top ceremony space might be too steep for some guests, but no, they have a golf buggy on hand just in case!
The food: I wasn't expecting to be fed at this wedding, but the chef would not hear of that, and happily provided me with a 3 course gluten free meal with hardly any notice. It was delicious! And the fact she could cater to my allergy at the drop of a hat, that meant so much to me.
The Staff: When I left, I just wanted to walk around and hug EVERY member staff. They care so much about what they do and giving their couples the best day, but they also have this joy for life which is infectious.
This venue is so unique, so beautiful, so well thought out, but the team there are simply wonderful.

The venue is truly incredible
We cannot thank the team at Watermouth Cove enough for helping to create our wonderful wedding day. From the first video call we had with Zoe and Georgia, through to delivering the day, their energy and enthusiasm made our planning and day feel so easy. Perfect from start to finish
It’s taken a few months to write this review, purely because it’s almost impossible to express what an amazing place this is… From the moment we viewed the venue, tears were in our eyes from the pure beauty of the cove. I had to book it as soon as possible. We loved the fact it was a family run business. The whole place has such an amazing vibe. We got married in April 2022 and stayed for the weekend with our guests. The accommodation is lovely and reasonably priced for guests. The venue has so many great amenities such as the cove, fire pit, outside seating, pool and bar. We can not recommend the venue and staff enough. Zoe and Georgia were brilliant throughout the planning process and throughout the day. As a bride and a control freak I felt completely at ease that my day would run smoothly and as I wanted, which it absolutely did without a glitch. The catering staff are amazing, all the guests really enjoyed our wedding food. The bar staff are equally as amazing and we found the drinks to be very reasonably priced. Our guests loved the cocktail menu and also the alcohol slushy. The whole wedding weekend was perfect from start to finish and exactly what me and my partner wanted. A lot of this is down to Georgia and Zoe so a huge thank you to them. I would whole heartedly recommend this venue to anyone, just book it, you won’t be disappointed. And when you do, please invite me so I can spend another night there!

Exactly what we wanted
The venue is amazing, we watched the whole journey through lockdowns. All our family and friends had an amazing time. All said it's the best wedding they've been to. The day was so chilled, exactly what we wanted. It's been great getting to know Georgia, Zoe and team. Nothing was too much trouble, they helped make our day extra special.

Travel Notes
The easiest route to Watermouth Cove is to leave the M5 Motorway at Junction 27 following the signs for Barnstaple A361. Go straight on the A361 to Barnstaple, follow the Barnstaple link road towards Braunton, then onto Ilfracombe. This will bring you to Hele Bay, two miles outside Hele Bay you will see Watermouth Castle on your right - our turning is 100 metres on your left signposted 'Watermouth Cove Weddings' and a signpost to the 'Harbour'.

We have our own private Cove here! Whilst you and your guests are enjoying an extended stay, why not bring a couple of paddle boards and kayaks and spend a couple of hours out on the open ocean. You'll get a completely different view of the North Devon coastline and hopefully get a glimpse of some dolphins. Or if adventure is not for you, relax by our two of our heated swimming pools.
