Venachar Lochside is an award winning wedding venue that sits on the beautiful bonnie banks of Loch Venachar. The loch is located in the heart of The Trossachs, 5 minutes from the popular tourist town of Callander and 1 hour from Glasgow.
Set in an idyllic & beautiful location, Venachar Lochside boasts one of the best views in Scotland, which guarantees the perfect backdrop for your special day.
We specialise in planning & delivering weddings from as little as two to one hundred day guests.

Describe the best wedding that happened at Venachar Lochside?
The best weddings we have at Venachar were not just because of the beautiful weather, the amazing views or the lovely food. It was the sense of family, friends and happiness that made the days so unique. We like to get to know each couple personally so we can create the perfect wedding day for each individual couple.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Try your best not to get stressed over little things. Weddings are supposed to be the most relaxed and best day of your lives so enjoy every minute of it.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
It's really difficult to choose a favourite as there has been so many lovely things that people have added to their wedding to make it theirs. I think if I had to choose I would say when people find a way to include their pets in their wedding.

Where’s the best photo spot at Venachar Lochside?
At the end of our lawn as the sun is setting with the loch and hills in the background. This is definitely my favourite photo spot.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Venachar Lochside?
A few years ago Emile Sande was a guest at one of our weddings but more recently we have had a few big names on site including Joe Wicks, Lorraine Kelly, Deacon Blue & Outlanders very own Sam Heughan.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Definitely the Stornoway Black Pudding Bon Bons or the Goats' Cheese Tarts - in all honesty we love them all!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
My favourite definitely has to be a selection of cheese and biscuits!
What is Venachar Lochside most unique feature?
Our venue sits right on the loch, you could jump off the decking into the loch.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The hard work and effort that has been put in to get where our business is now. We won "Scotland's Best Restaurant" at the Scottish Baking awards 2014 and "Best Informal Eating Experience" at Visit Scotland's Thistle awards 2015/16/17/18.
