Located in the centre of Aberdeen, Union Kirk sits resplendent within the sparkling granite of Union Street. Designed by James Matthew and built in 1869 this grade B listed building has been carefully and sympathetically converted whilst retaining many of the traditional features including the stunning stained-glass windows, vaulted ceiling, and intricate cornicing that you would expect to find in your “Kirk”. Whether you choose to have your ceremony with us or just your wedding breakfast and reception, Union Kirk offers a unique and contemporary backdrop for your day, teamed with first class service from our dedicated, professional banqueting team and exceptional cuisine from our team of chef’s, there is a wealth of experienced and passionate individuals working to make sure that you get the day that you so richly deserve.

Multiple members of our family commented on how well the food service was done. Super slick and the food was great. It's impossible to choose just one. Every wedding we host is special in its own way, with each couple bringing their own personality, traditions and unique touches to the day. Seeing their vision come to life and watching family and friends celebrate together is what makes every wedding memorable for us.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Always ask questions – no question is ever silly. Delegate where you can and make time to enjoy every moment; the day passes in the blink of an eye.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One of our favourite personal touches was a wedding where music played a huge part in the couple's lives. Rather than booking a single evening act, the couple invited their talented friends and family to take turns performing throughout the night. From solo performances to full bands, each set brought something different and reflected the people closest to them.
