Your special day will be hosted in our Downs Suite, which seats up to 100 of your favourite people for your ceremony and wedding breakfast. You will have access to your own private garden and stretch tent that have incredible views of the South Downs, meaning your guests can be indoors or out throughout the day – perfect for bubbles after your ceremony in the summer. Your wedding breakfast will become the meal you dream about - it is totally customisable from our wedding menu, meaning you can get exactly what you’re looking for to enjoy as your first meal as a married couple. Once the evening arrives, we will turn the room around and make it ready for you and up to 150 guests to dance the night away! Whether you want a band or DJ, our space is perfect for having the party of your dreams. Finish your day with a stay in our Honeymoon Suite, and invite loved ones to stay with you in one of our 11 rooms available. Our event managers and conscientious team are always on hand to assist throughout the day, meaning you don’t have to worry about a thing – your only priority is having the best day of your lives.

We recently had our wedding at Tottington Manor, and we honestly could not have asked for a better venue or team to support us throughout our journey. From our very first meeting with Helen, we knew we had found somewhere special. She was understanding, kind, supportive, and incredibly friendly. We are so glad we met her when we first visited, as she truly sold the venue to us and made us feel confident that Tottington Manor was the perfect place for our wedding. Throughout the planning process, Cat was fantastic. She was always quick to respond to emails and happy to help with any questions we had. Even when she was unavailable, other members of the team stepped in and responded promptly, which gave us great confidence and reassurance throughout the lead-up to our day. On the wedding day itself, Charlotte was on hand to help with any queries and ensure everything ran smoothly. It was also so lovely that Helen came to say hello and share in our special day. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service from both the bar staff and waiting team was exceptional. Every member of staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. The team set out the room beautifully, working alongside our florist, Karen from Allium Florist, and Lisa from Cakes To Go, who displayed our cake perfectly. A special mention also goes to our photographer, Will from Love Heart Photography, who captured every aspect of both the venue and our wedding beautifully. It was wonderful to see how well everyone worked together behind the scenes. The teamwork between all the suppliers and venue staff made the entire day run seamlessly and allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment. We would also like to give a special mention to Dan, the Toastmaster, who was included as part of our package. He was truly exceptional and an absolutely amazing person to have by our side throughout the day. From keeping everything running to schedule to ensuring guests knew where they needed to be, he brought a calm, professional, and friendly presence that made a huge difference. Looking back, we genuinely cannot imagine how our wedding day would have run without him there. He went above and beyond to make sure everything flowed seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. Dan was an invaluable part of our day, and we are incredibly grateful for all of his support. One thing that meant so much to us was how welcoming Tottington Manor was to our dog. Not only were they happy for him to be part of our wedding day, but they also invited him to stay the following night as we extended our stay. This personal touch made our experience even more special and meant our whole family could be together. Thank you to everyone at Tottington Manor for helping to create such a perfect wedding day. This place has something that I'm not sure anywhere else does, it has the views, it has the beautiful interior, but its secret sauce is the people who make it. From the moment we first enquired and received a prompt call back we felt it. The staff at Totts really, really care. Cat was our main point of contact and she expertly helped us picture our big day at Totts. She was incredible, she knows EVERYTHING and was just a real joy to work with. Our menu tasting event was beyond words, what a joyful evening! We knew we had made the right choice of venue but the menu tasting absolutely cemented that for us. The food itself deserves its own mention. We'd already tasted it at the menu tasting evening and it was incredible, and it didn't miss a beat on the day itself. Guests chose their courses in advance, which went down really well, and the kids were just as well looked after with their own menu. On our big day, every single staff member was warm, it was a family feel right from the bar staff to the team serving breakfast the next day. Charlotte was amazing on the day, she made sure everything was just how we wanted it and tirelessly worked behind the scenes. But on top of that, she was a real anchor, checking in with Rich and me to make sure we were okay, another example of the kindness of Totts. We had our wedding here in May 2024, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for such a special day. From the very beginning, the team were incredibly helpful, friendly and supportive, making the whole planning process feel so much easier. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they were always happy to help with anything we needed. On the day itself, everything was beautifully organised, and the venue looked absolutely stunning. The views from the venue were incredible and made our wedding photos even more beautiful, giving us so many amazing memories to look back on. Our wedding day was everything we had dreamed of and more. The staff were amazing, the food was delicious, and all of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and what a wonderful time they had. We will always look back on our wedding day with the happiest memories, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make it so special. My husband and I had the most amazing Wedding Day, everything went to plan and better than I ever imagined. Helen and her team are amazing! Kat was our Wedding Coordinator, and she was amazing, she helped us plan things we didn't even realise we needed to do. The food was amazing, and we had so many compliments from our guests! I would recommend Tottington tp anyone looking to get married! My husband and I had the most amazing Wedding Day, everything went to plan and better than I ever imagined. I saw the venue and I met Helen I knew that was THE PLACE I wanted to get married. They take control of everything to make sure your special day is beautiful and in the way we wanted it to be. The word "no" is not in their vocabulary unlike the other venues we looked at! Helen and Cat listened to all our needs and worries, and were always a calming influence. I never had any stress in the arranging of the wedding or even on the actual wedding day. This place will always be so special for me!I saw the venue and I met Helen I knew that was THE PLACE I wanted to get married. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

A couple invited family and relatives of all ages to their special day, and so hired in garden games, a photobooth, DJ etc. Because of the location of the Downs Suite with its Gardens, family and friends from every walk of life were spending time with each other and joining in the festivities. The venue was full of laughter and happiness all day, and it was a wonderful atmosphere to be a part of. That family will have great memories from the day.

Listen to the advice of everyone you know, but make decisions that reflect what YOU want from your big day.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

A guest book - a wedding can be quite a busy day, yet each guest can take some time to write their thoughts and well wishes into the book. The couple can have a great time reading and remembering their family and friends memories of their time together. Another way is to set up a private instagram account for the day and get all your guests to take photos, tag the instagram account and leave their messages.

Looking out from the stretch tent of the Downs Suite Gardens across the front of the Hotel and out to the hillsides of the South Downs.

We have the occasional guest who you would recognise from TV and Sport who visit the restaurant, but not for a wedding!

What’s your favourite canapé?

I like to keep it simple with just a small amount of parfait topped with a little fruity chutney.

Sussex Chalmer Cheese, Crackers with a side of Caramelized Onion Chutney
