Sorry this may be a long review….. We got married here on 1st April 2017 and absolutely would recommend this as a wedding venue or as a hotel stay. The hotel itself is gorgeous with lovely rooms. We had the inclusive exclusive wedding package which basically meant 100 of our friends and family took over the whole hotel and all the rooms from Friday lunch til Sunday lunch. This in itself was so amazing. To have all the people we love in one place for the whole weekend rather than just the big day. The staff were so lovely. In particular Rachael the wedding coordinator who was amazing from the minute she showed us round initially, through the months leading up to the big day (and my hundreds of emails which she always responded to), through the day itself and after. Genuinely thank you so much Rachael! Also, a special mention to Cat who spent a lot of time setting up the IT needed for the groom’s speech. Everyone raved about every aspect of the wedding from the venue, the bedrooms, the grounds (we got the sun from about lunchtime ?), the food for the wedding breakfast. We had the ceremony, breakfast and evening do all in the Coleridge suite which meant we had to come out while the room was changed around each time but because of the grounds and all the little lounges which interconnect, it wasn’t a problem at all. In fact, it added to the day. The hotel recommendations for the flowers, cake, hairdresser and photographer were also outstanding: Flowers – Lily Lou’s of Ambleside Cake – Beauleas Cake Studio Lea Holcroft Photographer – Steve Holcroft Hair – Aqua the Salon I seriously cannot recommend this hotel enough, so much so that we’re going back there for our mini moon!Sorry this may be a long review…..
