We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we booked until the end of our special day, everything was handled with care and professionalism. The booking process was seamless, and the team was incredibly helpful, always willing to answer our questions and accommodate our requests. (There was a lot) On the day of the wedding, the venue was absolutely stunning. We had full use of the entire space, allowing us to tailor every part of our day exactly how we envisioned it. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and their attention to detail made a world of difference. The only minor challenge we faced was that the wedding planner worked part-time, which meant we had to juggle our schedules a bit to fit in appointments. However, they were always very flexible and did their best to accommodate us whenever possible, so it didn’t affect our overall experience. From the beautiful decor to the excellent facilities, our guests were all raving about how gorgeous the venue was. We truly felt like we had the venue all to ourselves, giving us privacy and an intimate atmosphere that made the day feel even more special. If you're looking for a venue that offers not only a great location but also a team that genuinely cares about making your day perfect, this is it. We Highly recommend!

We had such a fantastic wedding day at the William Cecil. It was the first venue we looked at and we quickly knew it was where we wanted to get married. The venue is beautifully situated and we were lucky to have great weather to have our ceremony in the pretty gardens. The alternative ceremony room indoors also would have been great. The staff were so friendly and everything so well organised. Accommodation is of high standard and were able to book out all rooms for our wedding night for our guests. The food also exceeded our expectations. Our guests commented on how much of a great venue it was. We were so pleased with how the day went.

The William Cecil was the only venue we needed to look at. It had such beautifully kept grounds to accommodate what was our outdoor wedding (in May), and up to the last second they were so communicative about possible alternatives if the weather turned and it needed to be moved indoors for the ceremony to take place. The staff were a delight to work with, most notably Amy, our planner, and Fran, who coordinated the latter half of the day. They helped so much to guide us through the day when moving for the reception, speeches, to going inside for the evening and dances, etc. They were always on call throughout the planning process if we had any questions or concerns, and it really helped to take the stress off our shoulders to know they were so professional and easy to talk to. The rooms were lovely and the local setting on Stamford is something our guests still talk about to this day. The William Cecil and its amenities really helped us to not worry about the decorations, as already so much was done for us by it's wonderful layout, that we could really focus on putting our personal stamp on the day, and leave wonderful lasting memories for everyone including ourselves. Amy was brilliant too about suggesting suppliers that they have worked with so that we weren't having to worry about sourcing all of that ourselves. The suppliers too were such amazing people to be working with on the day, and it couldn't have gone better. Everyone helped to listen to what we wanted and knew how to elevate it or link it all together, while not stifling our ideas. We felt so supported throughout and we couldn't have asked for it to go any better. A real testament to the William Cecil wedding team!

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for hosting the reception for my son Rudi's wedding to Beth on the 1st June. Everything about the venue and the day was simply beautiful, from the marquee, to the gardens, to the indoor spaces and the bedrooms . The staff at the William Cecil are a credit to the hotel and were so helpful and accommodating. The food and wine were really excellent, including breakfast. Beth (and Rudi) worked tirelessly to craft their dream wedding and I think the wedding team and staff at the hotel did an amazing job making that a reality. So a big thank you from me to all that were involved in any way in making that happen.

We had our wedding at the William Cecil Hotel in May 2024. What an amazing day we had! Firstly, Amy and her team are absolutely amazing and were so helpful throughout the whole planning process, responding to emails promptly, making necessary adjustments and on the day they were just brilliant. The venue is stunning. All the rooms are finished to an amazing standard, the bridal suite in particular is a sight to behold! We got married outside on the lawns, and luckily the weather was perfect so it looked even more stunning. The food is brilliant as well, we had the ham hock terrine, roasted chicken, and fruit pavlova. It was delicious and all our guests thought so as well! We could not recommend the William Cecil Hotel enough, friendly staff, a stunning venue and just all round good vibes. We’re so lucky we found this venue, it was everything we wanted!

A beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds. The rooms are spectacular, especially the bridal suite which is totally amazing! We had the Sunday roast dinner for our wedding dinner as our wedding was on a Sunday, the food was beyond expectations and everyone loved it! The most outstanding feature was the customer service we received throughout our 3 day stay. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and they certainly went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. Everyone was so kind and caring and really looked after us all so well. Highly recommended - don't look anywhere else !

We enjoyed a most enjoyable day with friends and family. The team that looked after our day couldn't have made it any better than it was. Amy and the staff at the William Cecil looked after everything. The suppliers they recommended fulfilled all of the requirements seamlessly.

The venue is stunning, full of character and charm. In a great location in the beautiful town of Stamford. The team are brilliant and enabled us to personalise the wedding to us, our tastes and ideas. The food was delicious and the highest quality. The same can be said for the drinks! Guests commented it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We had the most perfect day and couldn’t be happier! The bridal suite is just WOW! Can’t fault anything about the venue, we have nothing but praise and wish we could do it all over again!

We recently got hitched on NYE and chose The William Cecil because of their desire to help make our wedding the very best day possible! They catered for all of our needs - increased number of guests, dietary requirements, full use of the hotel and bedrooms, confetti cannons, Greek plate smashing ceremony - you name it. Everything was made possible and everyone we dealt with was fantastic - Amy, Sergio, Laura and all of their great team helpful team! They also helped with recommendations for other suppliers and on the day there was no stress! We’d highly recommend and wish we could repeat the event every year!

Amy was so helpful at organising our day and it was absolutely perfect! We had so many comments about how nice the food was and the chef worked with us to produce our dishes of choice. The rooms are spectacular and all guests enjoyed breakfast.
