The Tall Ship Glenlee Full Description
The Tall Ship at Riverside - a unique venue for any special occasion that you and your guests will always remember. The Tall Ship is Glasgow's most original venue for weddings and corporate entertaining. She was built in 1896 on the River Clyde when Glasgow was recognised as the Second City of the Empire and she is now the only Clydebuilt sailing ship still afloat in the UK. The Tall Ship offers a unique combination of 19th century charm with modern facilities, perfect for weddings, conferences and banqueting. The atmospheric surroundings evoke dramatic images of a life at sea. Enjoy the unique riverside setting (flood lit in the evening ), before going below decks to dine or entertain. The Tall Ship can accommodate up to 150 people for dining and up to 200 for a reception. The space is very flexible and allows organisers to use imagination and flair to 'wow' their guests. Guests can browse the onboard exhibits or enjoy the riverside sunset from the main deck.

Amazing pirate wedding shenanigans!
We got married on The Tall Ship and it was the best thing we could have done! The team were utterly amazing and went above and beyond to give us a day and night to remember (or not! haha!) Nothing was too much trouble for the events team and we genuinely had the best day ever. We did a DIY wedding and got all the help and support from the team to make the day everything we wanted! The Tall Ship is an amazing, unique venue to get married on and we can guarantee it will be a

Floating Historical Museum.
The Glenlee , a former Victorian merchant barque , was built in Port Glasgow & launched in 1896. Over the century other owners renamed her, and she’s also been “Islamount”, “Clarastella” , & “ Galatea” as a sail training vessel in the Spanish navy. She’s since been lovingly restored, and fitted out as a museum ship since 1993. This is a wonderful maritime attraction to have moored beside the Clyde, and it’s fabulous that us landlubbers get to explore a proper tall ship, and see how life was for

Heartily recommended
Well worth a visit. The ship is a very interesting museum in its own right. Well preserved, well laid out and with very informative information boards. Its free to get in and is equipped with ramps and a lift. As I am disabled I found it very refreshing that an effort has been made to make this attraction accessible to everyone.
